Saradag led his two companions towards the top of the hill. The warg chieftain heard the commotion of combat above him and and he pressed forward, with every ounce of speed he could muster.

Suddenly, there were two men running towards them - coming from below. Above, Rorin smashed the skulls of the two remaining wolves and they died with loud yelps of agony. The Hobbit and his two companions were able to turn to see the wargs coming, and they, too, moved to engage.

From high on the hill come yelps of pain, cut suddenly short by the sound of steel striking flesh.  Forcing himself up the slope, Arbogast sees one of the wargs turn back - it could hardly have failed to hear the Men crashing towards it.

As a youth, the Fire-watcher has warded wolves away from his father's steading, but this creature is of another kind.  Lazily, it lopes toward him, the size of a small horse and with murderous cunning in its eyes.  Arbogast finds himself wishing for roots and branches, fallen trunks, anything to slow it and make it unsteady.  But it is already leaping towards him, springing from the earth as if taking flight, jaws agape, towards him.  Desperately, he raises his shield, twisting his body to let it pass him as he raises his axe for a counterattack...

:ooc: I'll start off in Open stance - I think, what with charging all the way over here, Arbogast hasn't been taking a careful enough approach to warrant Defensive.

Saradag loped towards the two new men that had started up the hill. He yelped when an arrow struck him, but the pain only fired his rage. He would tear out the man's throat.

Behind him, his two followers changed course to keep with their leader.

"How's that for a meal ya filthy dogs?" Rorin relaxed as he removed his hammer from the two collapsed carcasses in front of him. But not a moment later he heard Bandy's bow sing behind him and he spun to find the new target. A short ways down the Saradag bore down atop Arbogast's shield threatening to run the Woodman into the ground.

Without hesitation the Dwarf launched himself down the hill towards the massive beast throwing caution to the wind and hoping to blindside the beast before it's teeth found purchase in his friend.

:ooc:

Rorin is sprinting down the hill in Forward stance and will use the All Out Attack maneuver (Loses Parry rating for this round)
