Sam probably had the best chance of hacking the computers, but still didn't like his chances, "Getting into the system will take time, which will leave us sitting here. One misstep will alert them that something is wrong. I can try, but think the direct route is best."

Jingo

Kaida nodded. "Thanks Sam. Alright Britton, take us out then. Quietly and decisively. The longer we can hold onto the element of surprise, the better."

Telcontar

"Stack on the wall, once we are in a line get as close as possible to the person in front of you. When were up we will move out of the room as fast as posible and head up the stairs. If we move fast enough anyone watching wont have time to count us. The stairs may have monitors too, so once we clear this spot its a straight rush to the control room. Ready?"

Kaida nodded grimly, checking the power supply in her pistol one last time. "Lets do it."

Logar smiled that bloody smile. This was gonna be more fun than he originally thought. "let's move"

:ooc: Nice posts guys!  ;D

The team stacked up as Britton had ordered, and Logar led them out. They moved quickly and quietly, hugging the wall underneath the camera. The door to the stairwell was just to their left from the maintenance room and Logar opened it and scurried in. He looked up, and left and right but saw that the stairwell was empty and without observation devices. The rest of his companions made their way into the lower landing and the door was closed. They all stood there a moment, some breathing harder than others, listening to hear a klaxon that would tell them that they had been seen.

There was nothing.

Britton felt sweat across his brow. He was a soldier and for him this was all natural - as it was for Logar'Dan - but he had with him non-soldiers and it was making him tense. He gave an inner smile but it faded as the thought of silent alarms entered his mind. He wasn't sure what was better - silence and feeling that they were still undetected, or silence and not knowing if they had been and an ambush was being set for them. The soldier in him told him that this was wasted energy and he pushed on Logar, signalling for him to keep moving... fast.

Logar started up the stairs, his blaster rifle trained at the rise in front of him and to his left. If there were any Imperials on the stairwell, he would have the bead on them. The team made it to the first landing and then to the next and were deposited on the second floor of the prison barracks and control. The room was darker with fewer lights to illuminate what was an obvious storage facility. There were merchant crates neatly stacked three-high making a series of rows and corridors. The lower volume of light had shadows casting about and it allowed for the team to move even more stealthily.

Logar got to the last row of storage crates and pinned his back to the far right side, his blaster aimed up to the ceiling. He looked over his left shoulder enough to allow him to see around the crates and down the corridor.

He choked on his breath.

Standing duty at the entrance to the command facility, just in front of the first turret, was an Imperial Stormtrooper - his heavy blaster resting across his arms. Logar held up a finger to signify one target and to bring everyone else to a halt.

"I like that idea, let's retreat down the aisles between these crates. Knock one down from the furthest row. And when he comes to check we jump him with our blades. Sound good?"

Telcontar

Britton nodded and started backing away.

Logar followed Britton. Turning down the second aisle of crates. "I'll strike from here. Whenever your all ready make some noise." Logar had been in enough scraps to know this would get ugly eventually. They had to keep it low-key for as long as they could. Babysteps of violence before a marathon of bloodshed. He was ready, he had worn his running boots.

:ooc: From the core book p. 131-132, storm trooper armor adds a +6 bonus to Reflex Defense, but that doesn't stack with any heroic class level bonus to Ref Def. It doesn't make any distinctions about diff types of damage it protects against, so I assume it protects equally well against energy or physical.
