Bandobras

Thanks. The header is really useful and easy to read. The only thing I would add is the Escape Combat option which is available in any stance with a successful Athletics test.

I'll be away on vacation from the 26th to about the 5th and will not have regular access to the internet. If I have a chance to post I will, but feel run Bandy while I am away.

Eclecticon

I'm trying to bump this along a little.  How many people do we have away or inactive at the moment?  It seems to have gone very quiet since all the bloodletting stopped!

Is it perhaps worth wrapping this up, having a Fellowship phase and then kicking off a new Adventuring phase when everyone's back on board?

Not silent Eclecticon, just still coming down from my vacation. I have been talking with Tom, and he should have some stuff up soon. I will definitely have a post up tomorrow.

We are going into a Fellowship Phase after this council meeting, though, just so you know.

I'm also back now for the next 2 weeks, then gone for 2 weeks (July 10 - 27) with work... then it settles down again for a good season.

Telcontar

Hey guys, thought I would chime in. I threw a post out there to keep things moving while a couple people were away, and then got swallowed by my work and sent out to Florida. I'll work on getting something up and want to touch base with Tomcat first.

I joined a couple of new pathfinder games on another board that just started up so I've been a little caught up with that.  But I'm still here and posting.

Eclecticon

Sorry I haven't posted in a bit - work has been crazy.  I'm going to try to get something up later this afternoon (my time).

No worries, Paul!

It is summer up here, so I have been slow to post, too! People are on vacation, kids are up past normal bed times, my wife has stuff planned, etc. One thing you can count on here, it might be slow at times, but I promise our games will continue.

I will have another post up tonight...maybe earlier.

Quick question - are we moving straight from the folk-moot to another adventuring phase, or will there be a Fellowship phase (possibly a year-end phase) in between?  If the latter, is it worth kicking some ideas around regarding Fellowship Phase activities?

Given that we're already in Rhosgobel and have been fairly prominent in recent days and weeks, acquiring Radaghast as a patron is an obvious (and useful) possibility, but other people will likely have other ideas.  Orophin, Rorin and Grimbeorn will all need to report back to their respective superiors, for example.

Back. Just finished reading the folk-moot posts. Did I fail to post that I was going to be away for 2 weeks with work? If so, my apologies. I should be sliding into a more regular routine again.

Anyway, give me a day to catch up and I'll be ready to post. Thanks, Doug, for handling Esgalwen for the last 2 months. Pretty much played her as I would.

Peace,
Ayrn

Hey Ayrn,

Yea, I knew you were going to be real busy with work over the last month. I just wasn't sure if you were going to step back in with all the time passed. Glad to see I was wrong...welcome back!!

Take over as you please with your advancement rewards.

Paul -

Yes, we are going into a Fellowship phase and I am cool with you guys petitioning Radagast as your patron. The Darkening campaign book actually had our current Adventure Phase stretched over two, with two Fellowship phases in between. But, Tom and I talked and it made no sense that the introduction of Mogdred's people be in one year and the Folk-moot in the next. That is not a lot of gaming encounters to fill the game calendar - and at the pace PbP goes, I think it would have been very unsatisfactory.

So, I combined the two adventure phases and now we will have our Fellowship phase, which if I want to keep up with the Tale of Years from the book needs to be about a year long. Instead, I will probably have the Fellowship phase last until the late winter/early spring of 2948 and then go from there. I am reading up on the next chapters of our campaign right now.

Anyway, long story short. Yes - Fellowship phase follows and I am going to open a thread for it. You guys can give us a narration summary of what your PC/PC's are doing over the latter half of 2947 and early part of 2948. This includes the petition to Radagast.

I will have more a little later tonight or tomorrow. Tonight I run my bi-weekly VTT game over Roll20, so I'll see what I can get accomplished.

Scratch the idea of the Fellowship phase only lasting until spring of the next year, it is going to last until the spring of 2949 as it is supposed to in the book. You guys will fill your time with aiding Amaleoda and Ceawin building of their long houses, etc.

I will come up with more soon.

Writing my post in the Fellowship Phase thread, got me to thinking about the possibility of re-opening the Old Forest Road as a long-term objective for the Fellowship.  There would be several Adventuring Phases worth of stuff to do (including just travelling it from end to end - no mean feat in its current state), and it seems like the increased trade would directly benefit every culture except the Rangers of Illithien (who, frankly, have bigger problems).  Could be interesting, could make us rich.  What do you think?
