The goblin fell at the spear of the Northman and he disregarded the wound the beast had given him, at least for this moment. The heel of the spear was planted in his instep and the ram horn again came to his lips. A long loud blast echoed from the dwarven wrought horn and he heard the men folk around him raise their voices in a loud hurrah in answer to the blast. Sparing not a moment longer the hand again gripped the spear two handed and he cast about for another goblin to perish at his hands.

Grimborn hears a woman scream as the fleeing woman is seized by a spear-wielding orc.  The creature rams its forhead into the poor woman's temple hard enough that the young warrior hears the cracking of bone, and the scream changes abruptly to a low moan.  But he is beset still, the nearby orcs darting in and out, taunting him by staying ever beyond the reach of his axe.
