Grimbeorn roars at the crone's dismissal of the group, of himself, and advances upon her, ignoring the creature near him.  "We are no trifling to be found within this wood or beyond.  I am Grimbeorn, son of Beorn the Bear, and you will be the one to fall this day!"

Eclecticon

Arbogast moves to defend Grimbeorn's rear, as two of the ancient wraiths bear down on the Men.  Whether they seek to defend the crone or simply to end the lives of the living, he cannot tell, but he keeps his shield raised against the enemy's spears.

:ooc: Arbogast will start in Defensive stance, and will Protect Grimbeorn as necessary.  Conveniently, this includes attacking the wraiths:

Had he but a pinch more strength in his arm, the wraiths would feel the taste of Dwarf-wrought steel.  As it is, though, his strikes serve to keep them at a distance, at least for now.

Morirúsë stood with his arm held aloft keeping his companions in the light of the elven lamp.

"Sons and Daughter of men, fear not the night nor the dead for you are noble scions of doughty warriors!"

"Ah! Protect me!" shouted the diminutive crone, scurrying into the ferns, before the large man's feral threats.

Suddenly Morirúsë started to sing a song of old - a time when great deeds were done by the mightiest that had ever walked upon Arda. Even as the wraiths converged, the companions were roused beyond weariness of road and wound. They gripped their weapons tighter and swung harder, even as they questioned whether these things undead could be harmed.

Nimronyn flashed green and gold - a reflection of the light that was cast about the courtyard. With a tear and moan, the sword passed through her opponent and she knew that it felt pain. It could be killed once more.

But then they were on them...

:ooc: Ouch ... Grimbeorn was just given the beat down...

I will post results in a bit. I have to run out to go to lunch with my daughter. I may also reconsider the mage's attack. Grimbeorn did Intimidate after all, and maybe I am going to demand him at least take one round to recoup.

I will let you know shortly.
