Situation: A garrison of Dugs (3) and Grans (8) bar the passage of a valley turn and must be engaged.

ALL Modifiers (situational, physical, weariness, wound conditions):


  • All PC/NPC's will suffer a -5 penalty for firing into any melee, unless they are the ones in the melee or have the Precise Shot feat.
  • Moving through the lake on foot will reduce Movement by 2.
  • The attached map shows outlines of the lake and all firm terrain. A number indicates a tier level from the ground which is 1. A tier level is 6 feet and can be used for cover. Climbing a tier will need a Climb roll DC 10 + 2 for each tier level being climbed and cost 1 MOVEMENT, or it can be easily handled with a jetpack or Jedi Surge ability. The two level 5 tiers have access to them by either the step tiers on the first, or a graded slope up on the second.

The position was going to be overrun. The Gran mercenary knew it. His companion had just been cut down by a very well placed blaster shot and now he stood alone before Sebolto's door. He knew that he had some companions still across the valley, but it wouldn't matter for long. He decided it best that he get back to the bunker to warn them there.

Kaida's speeder zoomed past the last of the E-web cannons. She needed to now just mount the hill and soon she would have the door in her control.

Seeing that there was only last major threat to the group, BIT squeezed off a shot at the remaining Eweb.

BIT's shot pierced the remaining gunner's chest and the mercenary flew backwards and landed hard on the ground. He did not move again. At Sebolto's door, the other Gran soldier activated the switch and entered the cave once the door had opened.

There were now but two remaining Dugs left to hold off the companions' assault, and they were not aware that they were now alone.

Farok tried to hug the ground as he moved down the valley. The force presence he felt had not revealed itself so he decided to divert himself from the end of the valley and strike out at the snipers and weapon crews that had been shooting at them. Thwe lightsaber hummed in his only hand as he closed the ground between himslef and he 3rd mercenary opponent. The groud was rough, but where and when it mattered the Jedi felt sure footing. The mec in front of himself realized he was there to late. The blue light of his light saber snapped and hissed in the humid jungle air as he brought his saber down upon the thief. "NAZARA JINN, DAHAMA FEDAYKIN!!!"

:ooc: Kaida will drive the speeder up the slope by the door... (not sure where that is). If she sees any enemy in LOS she'll blaster-fy them with the bike's speeder. If she doesn't see anyone, she'll disembark the speeder and find cover and radio in to the rest of the group to get a sit rep.

Caden continued to move forward carefully, using cover when possible and focusing his fire on potential enemies that weren't closely engaged with any of his companions.
He was skilled with a blaster and up close, he'd proven how deadly he could be when he had to, but he was no soldier - this at-range business wasn't his specialty.

Farok's saber cut into the small Dug mercenary and at the same time, Logar fired. The blaster bolt took the alien in the back causing it to fall forward driving the former Jedi's weapon into it deeper. It had a startled look on its face as it knew that death was soon upon it. The Dug looked into Farok's eyes for compassion, that it might be saved.

Across the lake, Sam sighted down the snub barrel of his blaster pistol and he depressed the trigger. The last Dug mercenary was struck in the chest. The creature fell forward into the morass and disappeared underneath.

Except for the whimpering sobs of Farok's opponent, the valley was completely silent of all sounds of combat. The companions had won through the Dug valley defenses.

Logar sighted down the valley, sweeping in both directions for any potential threat but saw only the lifeless bodies that remained. He clicked his comlink, "I think we are clear."

Farok powered off the lightsaber and before the Dug could fall he spun its handle reactivated it and severed the mercenaries head.

Speaking into his comlink, "We need to keep moving. Assemble on the doorway."

Farok was sure that soon the Dark Jedi would make his appearance.
