Pirates' surge - round 2

Situation: The team is in the primary cargo hold and the pirates have freed themselves above, by blowing out the bulkheads and portals. They now come, but the team does not yet know their numbers

ALL Modifiers (situational, physical, weariness, wound conditions):

  • All PC/NPC's will suffer a -5 penalty for firing into any melee, unless they are the ones in the melee or have the Precise Shot feat.
  • Darkness - PC's suffer a -5 to Perception checks and a -2 to combat unless equipped with low-light gear

Haywire smiled to himself as he heard the screams following the explosion from his grenade. But just as he was about to take a moment to catch his breath a torrent of blaster bolts filled the air around him. He flinched and braced himself the inevitable impact that he knew was coming... After a couple of seconds the fire stopped and Haywire looked up to see the crate that he had been hiding behind was nearly melted through from the blaster bolts that had just been unleashed upon it and the smell of ozone was thick in the air from the white hot plasma snapping through the air, but somehow he himself was unharmed. He turned around and saw two incredulous pirates with smoking blasters staring at him in disbelief for a moment before they began reloading their empty guns. "May the Force be with me indeed." he muttered as he reached down and double tapped the detonator on his belt to blow all of the explosives he had laid at once. He didn't know how many other pirates where inside that smoke cloud, but he would rather count the bodies than the blasters.

 :ooc: Haywire will blow all of the explosives then move around to the opposite side of the crate he is at to take cover from the new threat.

Longshot winced from the heat of the blaster bolt that had struck him. He quickly rolled over to get further back along the crate; hoping to cut off any pirate's angle of attack. He pivoted, found a target and fired.

Hammer winced at Longshot's words, he'd been afraid of that, but there was nothing to do about it now except fight their way out.  They'd already cut down most  of the team that was trying to assault them from the stairs so it was much closer to a fair fight now.  But fair meant that the pirates still had a chance to win, and he wasn't in that business.

"Longshot, how many can you see?  Haywire, where's that demo? I got the guys on this end pinned, you three waste anything coming out of that lift."

As he speaks he aims at another group of pirates and open up on them.

 :ooc: Obviously my comments to Longshot and Haywire are only valid if I go between them. But it makes for good color commentary.  I'll change it if the initiative order doesn't warrant it I guess.
Hammer targets PL and P5, I'm not sure if my 6 square cone can hit PC as well but if I can, him too.

Longshot smiled as his blaster bolt cut cleanly through the ship's crewman who then crumpled to the floor. Next thing he knew, his helmet's auto-visor darkened his optics as the explosives began to pop-off like fireworks. The Action VI's untrained crew were either caught within or knocked off their feet. Smoke and debris plumed out at high-speed and enveloped the area cutting off vision to everyone within close proximity. The cacophony that was created was deafening.

Hammer heard the chaos his team had just created, but concentrated on his targets before him. The apparent captain of the ship had jumped behind cover, while his executive officer had climbed up on a crate to get a better shot. The clone commander depressed his trigger sending out another sweep of fire.

P2 is caught in the plume and cannot see for 1 round

Stefan - only the PL is visible to you. P5 and the PC are behind full cover to your position.

P3 and P4 are dead, the latter consumed by the blast.

PL takes 20 damage and is CT -1

:ooc: Everything is kind of out of order on this thread, thus far - but I don't think any PC/NPC was impacted in their Init order. Anyway, I need Martel's actions, but here are the pirates that can go and won't impact him.


The Action VI's second in command raised his rifle, but only Mitts was visible down the long length of the cargo hold. Aiming, he fired.

Bando Gora is severed from the Force and thus loses his enhancement due to dark Rage. This causes the being to break its engagement with Martel, once again. He will withdrawal out of melee, thus not causing an OA (opportunity attack) and then MOVE again to the wall.
