:ooc: Paul, I will need Arbogast's starting stance.
You guys get opening volleys. The troll does not have any missile weapons.
:ooc: do I get one or two opening volleys? Page 171 says distance may allow for 2 volleys instead of one. Even though the distance is not long Bandy is knocked and anticipating the attack and we are in position to Ambush the troll.
As the troll charges forward, Arbogast's grip on the stony ledge slips. He skids several feet down the hillside with a clatter easily audible over the rain. The new troll slows to look for the source of the sound. As it does, Arbogast hefts his spear and hurls it, half blind, at the mountainous form before him.
:ooc: Here goes nothing! I'm in Open stance for the moment.
Spear roll:
Rolled 1d12 : 9, total 9
Rolled 2d6 : 6, 2, total 8
:ooc: Ooh, I think that's a potential wound! Sorry I can't post the spear stats - I'm on the train into work at the moment and don't have them available.
:ooc: Tom, I am only going to allow one - for the primary reason that I don't think Lurg is going to last that long against you guys. With your best-of-two feat die, you're given great odds to get piercing hits and it only takes two to kill this thing. ;) ;)
Paul, your character sheet should be available online, too...but your weapon stats are:
Damage 5, edge 9, injury 14
Lurg takes 7 Endurance loss due to your Great success and he needs roll a Protection test:
TN 14 armour 3d:00: 1d12 : 7, total 7
Rolled 3d6 : 6, 4, 2, total 12
:ooc: actually, Tom, never mind...take two

Oh, I know where to find it. Trying to make sense of it on my tiny phone screen is another matter. :P
Bandy took no notice of the falling rocks or the skidding woodman, his focus was now on the task at hand. Despite the rain the Hobbit loosed his arrow, and then in the bound of a rabbit, drew and loosed again.
Rolled 1d12 : 6, total 6
Rolled 1d12 : 1, total 1
Rolled 3d6 : 2, 6, 2, total 10
Dmg 7 injury 10+
Rolled 1d12 : 5, total 5
Rolled 1d12 : 6, total 6
Rolled 3d6 : 4, 4, 3, total 11
Two hits from the Rearward for 14 endurance, no protection test.
:ooc: Hey Tom, both of your hits missed.
To hit in opening volleys, you need to roll a TN 12 + Parry -or- a 17. Let me know if you want to apply hope to either attack.
The one is a Great Success so it does 9 Endurance damage.
Parry, right.
Roll two was a 17 (11+6) so that should be a hit, and the other a 16, so I'll burn a point of hope to hit.
:ooc: Oops, yea - your second attack was a hit.
Okay on the Hope point :csu:
Total damage is 16
