With naught but savage will to survive, Beal stands quickly and strikes out at a goblin near at hand - its attention focused on a rider that had galloped onto the isle.

Shouts and cries filled the air along with the grunting sounds of the goblins dying at the tip of sword and spear, or arrow that now dropped around them. The Lake-man did not know if he could survive, but his hopes were lifted when his fellow prisoner also stood in defiance.

Not far from where they were, Esgalwen attacked again to open the path for her men to get to her friends.

New fury chasing old hurts from his body, Grimbeorn draws himself up and answers Kurgak bellow for bellow.  The marsh water shakes and the air resounds as if two bulls of the ancient kine, not seen upon the face of Middle-Earth in two ages of the world had returned to do battle.

:ooc: Grimbeorn had faced enough of these goblins' like to know that they are a craven sort, especially under the light of the sun.  He will attempt to intimidate them.

#12
The goblins quake before the son of Beorn, for though he had been brought low they have not forgotten the ease with which he smote down he who was the greatest and most terrible among them before the coming of the orcs of Mordor.  Yelping, they give way.  Several of them turn and take flight, dropping their spears in the mud in their terror.

:ooc:  Grimbeorn's foe is heading for the dubious safety of the forest,as is one other.  I'll let the Random Number Gods determine which one that is, counting down the line alphabetically from A to L/one to four:
