Cool, I'll try to get the character sheet finished soon and finalise my intro. However, I'm going to be offline most of tomorrow (Father's Day here in Germany), so I probably won't be finished until Friday.

Looking forward to joining in the adventure soon!

Good night!

I did a review for the ADV Comp. I think it was here and Gplus. I was not a fan and expected a lot more out of it considering how long we waited. Also, it does not have all the cultures in it a was expected. Making it not the one shop stop that it was supposed to be, and I also found it to be full of filler and not all that useful.

So if Matt 2.0 is bringing in a Hobbit I'm reconsidering setting Bandy aside for a bit, thoughts from the group?

Well, he'll need a good send-off party in Rhosgobel...

In all seriousness, though, I for one would be sad to see the little guy go, if for no other reason than seeing his reaction to there having been other Hobbits in Wilderland all this time would be very interesting.  Equally, reading about his return to Westfarthing (I think) after everything he's experienced would be cool too - some foreshadowing for the events of 3020. That's assuming he even goes home - he might decide that the Shire has no place for him any more and take up the life of a masterless, wandering bowslinger.  :)

On the whole, I don't object at all to turnover in membership of the company - after all, Arbogast will either retire or die at some point if we keep playing long enough.  And it's always interesting to see how the game dynamic changes with new PCs - it's one way of keeping a long-running game fresh.

On a vaguely related note, this could be a cool opportunity for the newly-arriving characters to try out the Taking Courage rule on p 104 of the ADV Comp.

I'm amused by the fact that he (she? I probably should've checked this) is already more physically able than my seasoned adventurer.  I have to assume that Arbogast is either seriously scrawny (likely), perpetually half-starved (increasingly likely) or just isn't putting the effort in that he should.

Just flagging that I'm done with the current scene, unless Doug has anything further to add.

FYI I will be in Puerto Rico the next 8 days... my participation will be spotty at best.

Enjoy, Matt #1!
As for Udo, I'm more or less finished with the character sheet. As I've not finished reading the core book (nowhere near!) there are bound to be some issues with it.
Anyway, I'm eager to get involved, so it would be great to see how I slot into the story...

Eclecticon

Don't sweat it too much.  TOR has a wonderfully simple yet robust system.  You'll pick up most of it in no time flat.

Thanks guys... Btw you'll have more fits with learning the special tags for dice roller and such than the rules.  :P

Bandy has been pretty home sick, but also has been trying to get to the Hobbit Inn he has heard about. He did hear rumors of river hobbits, but he has found no one that has seen any yet.

I will be posting tonight.

Had a busy week with my daughter's birthday, then had a show to play.

So, look forward to something around 11PM EST

All right!

All caught up and Udo is introduced. I will get you his bonus XP and AP when we do our Fellowship, BristolMatt.

As for time continuum - I will sync the two story arcs after the Fellowship when hopefully you guys will all be joined back together.

I will be watching our game over the weekend, but might not get more up until tonight. It is a holiday in the states - Memorial Day Weekend - so we spend time with family.
