Quote from: StefanNain Continues his punishment of the door.

Damage Roll (2d6) 1,5 +9=15
Damage Roll (2d6) 1,6 +9=16

Wooden reinforced Door - Damage Absorbed 15, Sustainable Damage 25
Attack 1 did 15 -15, 0 Damage... door at 15
Attack 2 did 16 -15, 1 Damage... door at 14

Nain's two ill-placed strokes chink into the metal reinforcements and cause little harm to the doors. The dwarf worries if he has notched his clever work...

The Dunedain warriors and their commanders quickly turned aside the new attackers; the Easterlings unable to gain an advantage against the capable swordsman before them.

Behind them, Nain smashed at the door while Edrahil and the stonewright watched. It was heard before it was seen and both the Elf and Man looked up to see a large stone falling from above. Edrahil jumped back in time to avoid the large stone as it came crashing down and smashed through the small entry bridge to the castle, and the stonewright who stood there. The bridge was broken and the stone landed hard on the ground below, the Dunadan crushed underneath.

 OOC: A lot of this is from your earlier posts, but I wanted to put the narrative here so you guys could visualize the chaos of the battle around you...

Behind the castle, Durgil lost sight of the men that scattered from his initial attack. Some had run to the base of the wall, some had returned from whence they came, and the few remaining had taken cover behind the corners of the inner castle. The two archers that stood within the watchtower were still firing arrows at him and his men, so they would need to be silenced first.

"Take care of those archers," Durgil directed his men. "Daelhun and I will worry about the guards on the ground."

With a fresh arrow nocked, Durgil took aim against another guard below and lets fly another dart. He quickly reloaded and continued his attack.
"We have to get off the wall! We are too exposed! Make for the tower!" Daelhun wasn't in charge, but if someone didn't do something they would all be whittled down by the volley of arrow fire coming at them. Daelhun then tried an inevitably futile attempt to dodge an incoming rain of arrows. The dart pierced into his chain armor deep enough to enter the Dúnadan's flesh. He winced as he withdrew it but continued to move along the parapet towards the tower, firing his own arrows as he did.

The front of the donjon's access was through a door on the second floor and the only way to get to it was to climb a set of stairs and cross over a small bridge. Dirnhael and his Company got to the door to find them closed and secured from within and Nain chopping into them with a wild eye.
While the dwarf worked, Edrahil looked to his left and saw a group of men come around the corner. The elf gave a shout to warn the rest of the group of their new assailants. Fengel saw the men approaching from around the donjon just after the elf had spotted them. He looked at his companions and saw the glint in Lûnduf's eyes...

"Friend dwarf... if your axe is ready, stand beside me and fight these men while the door comes down!" And with that, he charged toward the approaching warriors, the dwarf at his side.

They brought their weapons to bear upon the Easterling warriors who were hard put to defend themselves; the Éothraim and dwarf being much more skilled with their weapons. Behind the two, Dirnhael came leading the other two Dúnedain soldiers. All the while arrows rained from the gate towers above and Dirnhael knew that if the archers were not stopped soon, the enemy would gain the advantage. Unfortunately, that meant climbing the towers to get to them and he wondered how many warriors were housed within. Certainly not many or they would have rushed out to assail them... wouldn't they?

The Dúnedain warriors and their commanders quickly turned aside the new attackers; the Easterlings unable to gain an advantage against the capable swordsman before them.

Behind them, Nain smashed at the door while Edrahil and the stonewright watched. Nain's next two strokes were ill-placed and sparked into the door's metal reinforcement, causing little harm. The dwarf gave a grunt of anger and worried if he had notched his clever work.

It was heard before it was seen and both the Elf and Man looked up to see a large stone falling from above. Edrahil jumped back in time to avoid the plummeting block, as it came crashing down, and smashed through the small entry bridge to the castle. The stonewright who stood there was not as fortunate. The bridge was broken and the stone landed hard on the ground below, the Dúnadan crushed underneath.

Durgil looked to his left and saw three armed Easterlings race from the tower to the east along the parapet. They now would have to face swords as well as the arrows that flew past them. He wondered if the advantage was beginning to turn to their enemy! He quickly knocked an arrow and let it fly at the incoming attackers.
