Flight of the Fox - Round 2

Hmmm. How about Awareness in order to get a sense of the best way across and trying to triangulate the location of the wolves by sound.

The fox was no ordinary beast of the wood. The best features of man and beast were paired in the spirit animal. The ears sought to locate his pursuers, and his eyes darted here and there searching for crossing stones and the eddies and swirls of broken water. He sought a way across the water to avoid his pursuers.

Wide is the Anduin, and strong does it flow even in the languid days of summer, and Hathcyn is glad of each brief respite given by a stone close to the surface or an eddy that carries him closer to the far bank.  But though the sounds of wargish pursuit fall gradually behind him, they do not falter.  Strong swimmers are these! he finds himself thinking.  Perhaps less weighed down by a bushy, waterlogged tail! 


I'll take the Awareness roll - good thinking.
