Fengel felt his feet land on the floor some 10' down but the darkness was impenetrable, even more the night-eyed Eothraim. The warrior felt the bag of trinkets that he carried work free, as he maneuvered his sword and shield from the rope. It slid from his belt to land on the floor of the barrow, and as it did, the Man knew that a presence was bent on the items.

Then light flared into the room as Dirnhael dropped through the hole, torch in hand, to come to land just a few feet from where Fengel stood. Around the two men, shadows could be seen standing, two slights ones as they saw above and a greater shadow that stood to the north by an old sarcophagus - beside it, on the floor lay the pale forms of Edrahil and a small girl. In the wight's hand a nasty blade glowed with an unearhtly light.

OOC: I will be adding more here, but feel free to add any posts you guys want to.

Dirnhael tossed the lit torch into the center of the room, casting flickering shadows about the tomb's walls.
He gripped his blade tightly and held his shield in front of him, fighting the impulse to race to Edrahil and the child.

Fear chilled him momentarily as he saw their prone bodies, and he stepped towards them, clearing space for the rest of his companions, whom he was sure would soon follow.

The wight next to Edrahil would feel his wrath. The other two had been bitten deeply by their swords, and Dirnhael was confident that his friends would quickly defeat them. But this new one... he remembered the holding-spell cast upon him in the North; he would have to be swift and accurate. And he must beware of the blade the fell spirit wielded, whose enchantments were undoubtedly perilous to them all...

Seriand followed suit and propelled himself down the rope.  His comrades were doing well, against a foe he had fled from in utter terror.

Down Durgil went, jumping into the belly of the beast and coming up at the ready, sword still in hand.

The new presence that Fengel felt reminded him of Cadoc, and a chill began to creep up his spine.  Once Dirnhael dropped down beside him he could see the powerful wight clearly.  Fearing for Edrahil's life, Fengel quickly grabbed the bag from the floor and held it aloft, "Here devil, come and get your treasure, and something else we have for you!"

Nain knew without a doubt that these humans were insane and would be the death of him, and yet, he followed and did so with vigor.  He had lived for years in the smithies of the blue mountains and had never tasted the excitement that these last few months had brought.  The idea of dying here didn't appeal to him, yet it would be better than growing old by a forge with no stories to tell to his grandchildren except of things done by others.

He'd already fought a Dragon and cleaved a wight.  The fears of the world were dwindling before him as he slid down the rope into the darkness.  At the bottom he prepaired his axe again, he may be less afraid but he was more cautious.  Having stories did one no good if one wasn't around to share them.
