:ooc: Freakin' beautiful!!

Tate scores a :%: :%: success for 15 :<3: loss on the NON-wounded warrior.

He also scores a :g: on his Shield Fighting trait.

Paul - this is not in the rules, but because it is a :g:, can we assume he slashes down the non-wounded guy and then uses the shield bash against the guy that has 4 :<3: left?

I know it is not exactly how the trait works, but it would reflect the tremendous roll result. If you allow it, the other Blood Moon warrior takes 8 :<3: loss - and so both would be slain.

I leave the decision in your hands. Once you let me know, I will add some narrative, or you can do it for me if you want!  ;)

As Toft-men fall to his companions' blades, Anar concentrates on driving forward and allowing the men behind him through the breach in the stockade.  Though even his forge-toughened arms are beginning to tire, he swings his greataxe in as broad an arc as he may without harming his new-found friends.

More and more Beorning warriors are clambering over the stockade into the space cleared by the companions, pressing hard against the defenders until the battle lines threaten to dissolve into a chaotic melange of terror and bloodshed.  Feeling their task slipping beyond their ability, the three remaining men immediately before the companions fight on, one of them turning his axe from Hathcyn to Grimbeorn in an attempt to cut down the man, rather than the symbol.

Tate found himself in tight quarters - but none so tight as those at the gate entrance. Where he had jumped the wall, the Toft-men were pressing to keep the main host at bay, and so only a few turned to confront he and the others that were now there.

His first slash had been a weak feint and the raider had teetered back in defense, even as he readied his own attack. Tate was staring at two men with axe and spear and knew that he must get the upper hand quickly, lest he be pinned back to the wall and slain. He quickly stepped into the spear-man's reach, making the long weapon unwieldy, as he raised his sword. It came down in a blur, to which the other Toft-man tried to parry away with the haft of his axe, but he was too slow. Tate's sword cut deep into the man's neckline, severing the spine. The minstrel moved into the other man's position, pushing as he did and unbalancing him. The man tried to readjust his spear for a stab, but it was too late - the reinforced edge of Tate's shield smashed into the man's skull and eye to the sound of cracking bone. The Toft-man let out a cry as he went down and he did not stir again.
