RollEffect
:~~:The raiders push hard against the defenders and many folk of the Black Tarn fall. Four :~~: rolls and the Black Tarn is lost. Arbogast is set upon by THREE attackers for the round.
1, 2, or 3The raiders push hard against the defenders and a number of defenders die equal to the Feat roll. Arbogast is set upon by TWO attackers for the round.
4, 5, 6, or 7The raiders and allies hold the line, no gains made by either side. Arbogast is set upon by ONE attacker plus any left over from previous round (if applicable) - max of 5
8, 9, or 10The allies push hard against the attacker and a number of attackers die equal to the Feat roll. Arbogast is set upon by only ONE attacker for the round.
:g:A cheer goes up as the enemy is dealt a lethal blow. Two :g: rolls and the Black Tarn is saved as the Raiders are driven away. All enemies have been swept away from Arbogast for this round.

:ooc: So, each round will start with the rolling of the Feat die and compared to the MASS COMBAT TABLE to determine the combat situation.

#2
Arbogast hears the clash of arms and cringes at the sound of his people crying out. A large, angry raider charges him, his face painted in a war-mask of white and black.

:ooc: Okay, you have initiative each round, Paul.

If you do not like the MASS COMBAT ROLL result at the beginning of each round, you may re-roll and take the better result (may reroll once per round and you have a total of 3 rerolls due to your Song success)

Also, just so you know, the number of dead calculated by the die roll is more for story affect than anything else.

Eclecticon

"Stand firm!  Hold the shieldwall!"  Arbogast's breath is snatched away as the two forces make contact.  He sees the same desperation and fear in the black-and-white painted man's face as shows on his own, but there is no time now for fellow-feeling.  Instead, he smashes the man's small shield out of the way and sends his axe seeking flesh...

:ooc: Okay, I'm going to be in Open stance unless otherwise specified, so my Parry rating will be 18 and the DC to hit this guy will be 14.
