Situation: Edrahil, Dirnhael and Fengel are under attack by Koskas and 3 servants; Durgil stands alone against 3.

Situational Modifiers: Rain and dark cause a -7 penalty to all physical actions (traits and abilities will reduce this penalty)

Koskas is standard health points; the Sagath warriors are 5 HIT opponents and the warg is a 6 HIT opponent, both with wound penalties based on the number of hits:

1 HITno effect
2 HITS-1 penalty
3 HITS-3 penalty
4 HITS-5 penalty
5 HITSDead / -7 penalty
6 HITSDead

Physical Modifiers: No wounds or weariness right now (and I returned some Courage).

Initiative:
Warg - 14
Sagath - 12
Fengel - 11
Koskas - 11
Durgil - 10
Dirnhael - 9
Edrahil - 8

Durgil sees the attacks come only at the last moment but he was lucky the night was so harsh and they had terrible aim.  Outnumbered and no time to waste, he draws his sword as a precaution but continues his flight to the manor.  No better than the town crier, he calls out, "To arms! To arms!" to hopefully gets some attention, rouse the city, and maybe make his pursuers give thought to further chase.

OOC: Are there any kinds of tests you'd like me to roll?

[OOC:] Yes Matt, it will be a contest of skills. You will both make Run tests. If you win, you gain a lead on them, if they win, they will again be able to roll initiative for melee.

Based on the DOS, will determine how far ahead you are from them.

Marginal Success = 1
Complete Success = 2
Superior Success = 3
Extraordinary Success = 4

Once you score 5 lengths ahead of them, you can duck for cover and attempt a Stealth test to completely elude the Sagath.

Any Failure brings them close enough to melee.

Understand too that if the race carries on too long, weariness can come into play.

EDIT: I just saw you have no run skill... you can use Strength test instead if you'd like.

Action 3: Roll(2d6)+1: 6,3,+1 Total:10 SUCCESS [pulled that out of the wazzoo... blinds S4 for 7 rounds (-5 penalty to all actions which will stack on the -7 penalty.]

Edrahil staggered back from the Easterlings cruel blows. Enraged at the attack and fearing further harm, the Sindar held up the palm of his hand towards one of the Sagath and muttered a word of enchantment.

A blinding light flashed out and the Easterling warrior was immediately staggered and immersed in utter darkness. He dropped his sword as his hands went to his eyes.
