Description: The two Dwarves are confronted by a large Cave Troll

~Understand that all the other Dunedain warriors are engaged in fighting Round 8 of the Battle (constitutes 30 minutes) while you guys are doing your melee here

Physical Modifiers: Troll is 3 Sizes larger than Dwarves (+6 for Dwarves to Hit Troll / -6 for Troll to hit Dwarves); Dim Light -2 (for Dwarves)

Situational Modifiers: Lunduf is Incapacitated -7, Nain is Injured -1 (Hardy), Troll is Dazed -0 (Hardy)

Initiative*:
Lunduf - 11
Nain - 10
Troll - 2

*Remember to roll your next round's initiative at the end of your posts

----------------------------------------

Lunduf threw some savage attacks with his axe into the mid-section of the Troll and the beast reeled in pain, his comrade Nain, also dealing grievous wounds. Unfortunately, Lunduf failed to see the great mace of the troll come up and then back down, striking the Dwarf and sending him flying back some 20 feet. He hit hard and struggeld to maintain both consciousness and to regain his feet.

Behind him, Nain also suffered a blow from the Troll's great fist. The beast panted hard, but his opponents were fading faster in their ability to bring down the monster.

OOC: sorry, Init Rd 3 (2d6)+2 4,4+2=10

Frustrated by the lack of progress that they were making against the troll and fearing for the life of his companion Nain jumps up and swings his axe with both hands.  This troll would regret his attack on the dwarves if it were the last thing that Nain did.

Because I'm using 2 hands I believe that the troll only need a 10 to hit me this round too.

Lunduf pushed himself up with his his arms, his body a mass of pain. Around him was the chaos of combat and the Dwarf tried to focus. He knew if he did not get up and retrieve his weapon, he never would. His blurry eyes recognized the massive shape of the Cave Troll lumbering towards him, its mace rising up to make a killing blow.

Using the debris and rubble about him, he pulled himself up and swayed on his legs that felt as if they would go out from under him at any moment. But then he watched as Nain once more rushed in to attack, his axe rising above his head in both hands and hacking into the troll's midsection.

With the flurry of blows that Nain had struck on the raging troll he was unable to parry the incoming swing of the huge mace.  The force of it was enough to knock him down once again but sight of the blood pouring out of the gaping wounds that he'd just inflicted on the troll brought a smile to his face.  A flicker of hope in the darkness that was grasping to overtake him.
