The Stormtrooper Commander watched as his broken unit was running the field in front of him, disappearing in the trees. In the truck mirrors he could see the two pursuing speeder bikes and Arrow. In front of him, standing on the hood a soldier held a blaster aimed at his head. It was supposed to be a simple delivery of prisoners to the space port - instead he lost the major portion of his command. The commander's foot came off of the acceleratorand the truck began to slow.

BIT heard the trooper speak over a loud speaker from the truck, "All right, I am slowing down." Though he wasn't sure if it would help, his finger hit the alert signal on the Imperial network. He opened the door and slid out of the vehicle.

The Arkanian tech noticed the prisoner starting to slow. Maybe there will be a bright side to this yet. As the truck came to a halt, she brought the Arrow up in front of it. Leaving the speeder running, Abby ran towards the truck's driver staying just ten feet away, pistol drawn and leveled at the commander. "You got something to open the back?"

GandalfOfBorg

BIT hopped down with a feral smile.  Stepping up to the driver's side area, he let off a few shots into the cab to destroy the vehicle's controls and any comm equipment in it.  They were almost in the clear!

The Stormtrooper shrugged and his helmet crackled out, "Your partner just destroyed the controls!"

Kaida led the droideka to the stopped vehicle and commanded Betty to be alert for any danger. She dismounted from the speeder and jogged over to the others. Had they released the prisoners yet? Where was her sister?

She saw the reticent stormtrooper and heard his reply. She kept her helmet on as she approched.

"Don't tell me you don't have a manual override?" she responded, joining Farok. "You really think Betty here wants to hear that your'e not being cooperative? Well, what are you waiting for? Go turn a crank or something! If that door doesn't start opening soon the Empire is going to be short one more trooper!"

Telcontar

Farok took a quick look at the carrier. No doubt if it was a prisoner transport there would be no internal override for the passengers. It was also possible that there wasnt one in the main compartment either if it was just a modified truck that expected no troubles. Seizing up the hatch Farok brought his lightsaber back up with a snap and a hiss and began making strategic cuts to get the hatch open.

Farok's lightsaber made short work of the prison truck's hatch. With a clang, the heavy door fell from the back and within there was only darkness. Kaida began to fret for a moment, but then a low cough was heard as the acrid smoke from burning metal filled the small compartment. Moments later, figures began to emerge from the shadows as the prisoners came to the exit.

First a man of young age - his forehead bled from a nasty cut that was received when the truck had been bounced around by both the terrain and combat. An old woman next, dressed in robes - her eyes were distant as if she had been the subject of long-term anguish. Next, another man, his hair white and his eyes nothing but white orbs with neither iris or pupil. Three more came forth and then, dressed in an Imperial prison jumpsuit, a young woman climbed out. her hair long and matted, her cheek bruised, but her eyes are familiar to Farok, looking just like her sister's that stood near. Behind the Commenor noblewoman, three more prisoners followed and then the truck was empty.

Kaida caught her breath upon seeing Kilstara hanging on to the old Jedi as she stepped from the truck. She was alive...and now free.

Behind her, the mechanized voice from the trooper spoke to BIT, "You do realize that it will only be a matter of time before more troops arrive and a flight of TIE's fills the air above? I recommend you lay down your arms before you find yourselves in deeper trouble with the Empire than you already are."

BIT cold-cocks the trooper to shut him up or knock him out, doesn't matter.  "Let's go before he's right."

Farok's voice was calm and cool while his prostatic arm steadied the liberated noble. "Your Highness, I am Consular Apprentice Advisor Farok, late of the Order of Jedi Knight Republican Advisors you will soon be safe. Please come with me. Your sister is here, remain calm all will be explained, but we must hurry."

"Everyone, please come with me. We are not yet free of the hands that that would imprison you. Questions will be answered in due time, but please follow me as orderly and calmly as you can."

The light saber in his other hand snapped off and hung from the thong by his wrist. He summoned the transport that would evacuate the prisoners and then with his free hand, his living hand, he reached out to the Storm Troopers in the cab. Farok with a roll of the wrist made a suggestion; "Your truck broke down and the hatch popped. All you saw were ragged locals with improvised weapons, no names were heard."

"Let's go before he's right."

"Amen to that," Caden replied. Amazed that he was still in one piece, he had no desire to press his luck any further -- he wanted off this planet, and quickly.

:ooc: I hate to always piss-on-the-parade, especially when Tom does his great narrative/dialogues, but there is only one Stormtrooper left, Tom, and BIT just slammed the butt of his rifle into his head and put him down on the ground... sorry.  :|

I am going with the rest of the post though, and your Force Power is still in your suite.

Abby saw Farok gesture to her and she raced the Arrow over to where they stood. As she approached, she saw him - she could not remember the last time. He was thinner than she remembered, older now, and appeared to have been treated roughly, but there stood her father. His blank white eyes stared around at their rescuers still wondering what was going on.

"Kilstara? Suns above! Is that really you!" She pulled off her helmet, letting it tumble to the ground and approached reticently, her eyes brimming with tears. It'd seemed like ages since she had seen a family member in her flesh. And this, one of the galactic senators, and her older sister, was now free! "Kilstara! It is you!"

Then she rushed to Kistara and pulled her into an embrace, tears glistening in her eyes. "You'll have to tell me everything, but for now, take this and follow after Master Farok there." She picked up the storm trooper's side arm, handed it to her sister, and motioned her sister and the others to follow Farok.

"Let's go."

Her sister... was alive!

:ooc: To be honest, I can't remember what the exfiltration plan was? Get back to the space port I think right? But were were going to take everyone?
