Farok, blocked the last attack of his foe, in pushing it aside he was able to create an opening for an attack. The one arm man jumped up kicking his legs out, while behind him his cloaks and robes swirled behind him. His foot work was like the mad wild dancing of the desert people he had lived with. Like a howling acrobatic dervish he came at his foe again.

"May the house that gave you birth suffer water shortage forever."

:ooc: Agreed. However, I think that where Caden and Kaida are on the map probably leaves them engaged with Shade, for the moment. :(
Perhaps one of those fellows with the oh-so-handy jetpacks?

BIT heard the whine of repulsors and then saw the darker shadow of the skiff as it hovered up to and above his position. The bright flare of Caden's blasters marked the skiffs deck and it would be an easy leap if the sniper decided to move.

In the cavern, the Bando Gora captain began to feel the strain of the combat. Farok had been making stronger efforts with each attack and though the dark being had resisted, he was beginning to feel himself weaken. Shade, too, was also becoming concerned. The long range blaster fire was becoming more and more difficult to deflect, and whoever was shooting at him from above was making precision shot's to weaken him. The skiff had moved out of range in the darkness, and though he could still see it, there was only so much he could now do. The sniper above him was the higher risk. The darksider knew he must change tactics now or else the cavern would be his tomb.

Fett smiled under his helmet. Jedi or darksiders... they all had weaknesses. You just had to know how to exploit them and the Mandalorian knew what to do. The bounty hunter both heard and saw that the one-armed warrior was struggling against his opponent below, and that one shot would probably bring the Bando Gora down. But that wasn't Fett's mission. He wasn't here for any Bando Gora - he was here to see the Shade die. If Farok didn't make it... well that wasn't Fett's concern either. He brought his blaster up again and took aim.

The Aegis was now unveiled as it made the circuit around the mountain. Through the canopy, Ardana and Sam could see bright flares in the darkness below of blaster fire and knew it was there that their friends battled. Kara did not have time to look out into the night for she was now concerned with the radar signature that the Loronar was now reflecting back to the receivers installed around the Dug facility. She spoke softly, but clearly, "This is going to need to be quick or we might be blown from the sky. I am not sure what the Dug's have as weaponry and I don't want to find out. Sam... think of someway fast to get those guys on board this ship."

Ardana then cried out as she saw another dark shape zooming in towards the hovering skiff from which Kaida's transponder code signaled, "What is that?!" Sam could see through the Aegis' low-light systems that it too was a skiff and that it was loaded with at least ten soldiers.

Within the compound of the Dug facility, alarms were beginning to sound. There were three anti-air batteries that were positioned at equidistant locations in a circle around the building. The engineers who had designed the defenses used the terrain to give each battery a clear field of fire in the one-hundred and twenty degree arc that it was there to cover. Weapons were also chosen by the terrain, but a secondary system was also emplaced as a redundancy, just in case.

It was on this facing of the base that the Loronar would have been exposed to a medium laser cannon, save for the fact that the gun had been down for maintenance. Due to the Empire now controlling more and more of the heavy weapon materials and components, the laser cannon had been out of service for almost a year. Unfortunately for the Aegis, the secondary battery of medium-range, light concussion missiles were available and in good working order. Called Miracles during the Clone Wars, the pesky robots were deadly once their radar controller had a good lock on a target.

As Kara watched her radar signature spike, the missile crew was tracking her inbound path and preparing to fire.

:ooc: Bando Gora captain uses his last DP to evade Farok's auto-critical. :csu:

I will add Fett's attack here shortly, but you guys have the initiative.

Kaida yelled down at BIT. "BIT, Come on! Into the skiff now, we don't have much time!"

Hearing the chatter from the Aegis and the klaxons, she knew the Aegis was inbound and that the enemy was sending reinforcements also. "They have reinforcements inbound! You have 10 seconds, BIT! Aegis, blow the enemy skiff out of the sky if you can manage it."

She growled. Slammed the engine to idle above his position, then pulled up her rifle from her sling, sighted in on the fight around Farok. Seeing the fierce Bando Gora he battled, lined up in her crosshairs, she pulled the trigger and blew his head off.

With his attention on Farok, the Bando Gora had no idea his death was coming from behind. Kaida's blaster bolts struck the near-human in the back and bore deeply through both armor, flesh and bone. The super-heated tibana gas burned through the vitals and Farok watched as his opponent suddenly lurched forward, rocked a moment, and then went to his knees. The pike staff clattered to the cavern floor and then the body next. Farok took a defensive step backwards but the Bando Gora captain did not move again.

Across the battle area, Shade glanced quickly to see his last ally fall and then his mind began to buzz. The blaster fire from that smuggler had all but left him spent. He was not sure how much more he could do. He then saw the skiff loaded with Pugwis' soldiers that fast approached his enemies. It was the perfect diversion for him to escape.

Sam quickly adjusted his position on the flight deck and took up control of the Aegis' weapons. The system had already been activated and the weapons warmed up, and so it was an easy matter of just taping the selector for the ventral turret and bring its crosshair to bear on the enemy skiff. The droid was not a heavy gunner, but the ship's computer aided in the targeting. Sam pulled the trigger on the hand grip and the night sky filled with new crimson thunder and energy that rained down on the mercenary soldiers.

BIT, Caden, and Kaida all jumped at the sound and light when the Aegis' cannons blasted the skiff. It was horrific to see so close up - the mercenary soldier knocked off the vehicle from the blast, disappearing into the darkness below. Only their screams could discern where they were in the descent.

As for the Bantha-II class skiff, it took the barrage to its forward hull which immediately crumpled out of shape and its forward repulsors were destroyed. The remaining hover system whined in protest at the added strain and though the vehicle did not plummet into the depths, it veered sharply left and lost altitude quickly. If there were any soldiers remaining on the deck, they would not be any threat at the moment.

:ooc: Okay, obviously Sam's attack hit.

It caused 58 damage, minus 5 for damage reduction leaving 53 - against the ship's 60 hit points and 32 threshold. So, if it comes back into play its currents stats are:

It was no longer graceful his parries and blaster bolt deflections. It was now clumsy luck. The darksider was wounded bad and he was running out of time. He brought his lightsaber up in the nick of time to bat away Boba Fett's clean shot - another like that and Shade knew he was dead.
