The Ranger watched the shadowy form of the spider overwhelm Hathcyn. The chamber was dark despite the burning torch, but Tylquin's form was apparent. Esgalwen stabbed towards the largest mass she could discern.

Hathcyn knew he was injured, perhaps gravely. But here before hom was one of the great spiders, so close that with her bite they could have embraced. He gripped his spear two handed and sought to plunge it into the bulk of the spider.

"Blackest of Shadows and Ancient foe of men the threads of your story grow short. From the heart of the Carrock I stab at thee!"

:ooc: Yeesh.  Hathcyn loses another 9 Endurance and, because he's already Wounded, is now unconscious.  Because it's Tylquin we're talking about, he'll stay that way for...

Driven back by Esgalwen's double-handed strikes, Tylquin is nonetheless ready for Hathcyn as he plunges forward to drive his spear through her carapace.  Scuttling quickly aside, she leaps towards him, Man and spider falling to the webbed floor in a confusion of furiously-struggling limbs.  When she rises again, the Weaver's almost-human mouth is slick with blood.  Arbogast lashes forward, the head of the Warden's axe flashing golden-red in the torchlight, hoping against hope to drive the foul creature away before she can slay the Longspear.

Above them, entirely unheeded save perhaps by Tylquin herself, comes the low clashing side of heavy rocks being tossed aside...

:ooc: Holy crap - I forgot Arbogast's action!  He's going to attack as well.

Grimbeorn picks himself up and readies a strike, nothing but pure will driving him now.

:ooc: I missed to see if we had cleared all of the webs holding the enchantments.  If not, he will strike at a/the remaining web.  If we have, the spider.
