Not receiving a hit from the undead creature helped to bolster Seriand's resolve, his hand steadier and his sword swinging more true. Two quick slashes lashed out at the foul creature, hoping to slay the one his blade had already met.

Cerduil fell aggressively upon the undead creature and tore into its dead flesh. The onslaught of the Company was more than the two wights had expected - used to easy prey, they needed to re-think their tactic. With an unheard word, the two wights immediately jumped backwards away from their attackers and disappeared into the inky blackness that filled the hole in the floor. The Company could now hear what seemed to be an angry groan filling the still of the barrow. They heard naught of the child or Elf below.
"Try to flee you foul creatures, to no avail, for your day has come!", Fengel bellows as he slings his shield over his shoulder and grabs the rope to decend into the blackness. His anger overcoming his sense as he forgets the power of these undead.

OOC: I've got a bad feeling about this...
After quickly gathering the torches and handing some of them out to the others, Dirnhael follows Fengel down, and readies sword and shield immediately as he looks around for any sign of the wights, Edrahil or the girl.
