"Firewatcher! Press on with your task!"
The Beorning, fleet of foot, leveled his :ooc: spear and raced to stab at the beast which had just laid his lord low.
"Carrock! Carrock! Carrock!"
The leaf bladed spear sought the flesh of the beast.
:ooc: against better judgement and knowing skill at arms wont save us in this I'm going to rush in and attack in a forward stance.

Grimbeorns heaves himself up, staggered by the vicious assault, and takes a moment to set himself straight while his companions seek an advantage against the great spider.

Esgalwen moved towards the mammoth shadow that covered Grimbeorn, sliding Nimronyn from its sheath as her bow dropped. The sword came up in a quick two-handed stance, the warrior-woman having perfected the move over so many fights, and then it flashed down.

:ooc: Wow... we should not have entered this hole. The dice are moving this story to a dangerous conclusion.
I am thinking of using a :vv: but I see Esgalwen's accumulated :&: - she really has 5 permanent points? I have been keeping my sheet with the one on Dropbox, but man, I didn't realize she was fading so much.
I will use the :vv: and get the success for 12 :<3: loss. And just in case you were wondering, Paul, I did not use the :vv: in the last round on the failed Inspire.
:ooc: yeah we are toast, to be fair a spider suggested this plan. Is the spider on Grimbeorn or are we back to Range and reach weapons only? I assumed the later by the flavor text.

:ooc: I saw that too and it
can't be right, surely? I suspect I've added Shadow points in a hurry and put them in the wrong box. I'll go back through the last couple of adventures (when I have time) and see how many points she's gained recently, then you can shift points from one box to the other.
Arbogast hears the heavy breath of his companions as they go about the work of heroes, and their despair as Tylquin scuttles and leaps about their blows, untouchable now that she has decided to join the battle. Radagast he cannot see, the Wizard is fallen and vanished in to the shadows and black webs. He wishes to help them. He wishes to flee. He wishes to collapse and weep for all that has been taken from him, all that has been taken from the world.
But he has another task to do, and he will not let himself rest while it remains undone. He raises once again the Warden's axe and steps toward the last of the sorcerous strands.
:ooc: Arbogast will strike at the last one...
