Situation: The Fellowship has vanquished the servants of the Shadow in their lair beneath Lake-Town. But the news has come that one of its remaining thralls dwells in the household of the Master of Lake-Town, and is even now preparing to serve wine to the Council of the North. Can the remaining companions arrive in time to prevent a terrible poisoning?
Combat Advantage dice:• Arbogast 0/1
• Esgalwen 0/2
• Hathcyn 0/0
• Laeral 0/2
Situation Modifiers:• The companions have the initiative.
Physical Modifiers (complications): • Footing is treacherous. Any character struck with a Great or Extraordinary success must make an Athletics roll (at TN 5 + Endurance lost) or fall. Characters on the raft receive a +4 bonus to their roll. Characters can also use a called shot (TOR p 178) to perform a Pummelling Attack (Adventurer's Companion, p 111) to automatically knock their opponent into the water.
• The platform is slippery, but broad enough that characters are not in danger of falling.

:ooc: Esgalwen will move to :-->: and attack the remaining Beorning as he comes out to meet her on the planks.
Her :+~: score will increase by +3 for her Skirmisher trait. I will give narrative based on the result of the attack. She will not attack two-handed, as that seems too aggressive while trying to balance upon thin planks. She will speak softly to the man as she engages, but I will fill out any other details after I see how well her attack goes.

"Your choice is foolish, though I know it is rooted in the Shadow that holds you. Know that I wish this could be different."
Nimronyn slices through the air.
:ooc: That is a 24 :%: success for 15 :<3: loss. If he doesn't die, he'll need to make a TN 20 Athletics roll to keep his footing on the plank.
No joy does it bring Esgalwen to do violence to one coerced by the dark powers. But neither does she, oppressed as she is by the sense of the sands of the glass running rapidly out, see any other option. Nimronyn flashes in the torchlight before sending the torch, and a hand still holding it, tumbling to the shadowy water. The man before her clutches his maimed wrist as he falls, and what his eyes behold Esgalwen cannot say.
Bursting through the trap door, she flies through the empty warehouse above and the streets of Esgaroth, hoping against hope that Laeral has beaten her there.
:ooc: Doug, if you want to try for some last-minute AP for healing the wounded, feel free. :P

:ooc: Take an AP out of petty cash -Arbogast is fine, just badly stunned, and there's nothing much she can do for an arrow in the guts, but she wakes Hathcyn.
