Even as Rorin smashed down one of the orcs, they still came on with a fury.
Shûkrag snarled at Grimbeorn and pressed into the Beorning. Arrows zipped by from both directions but the darkness foiled the attempts of both sides to get the upper hand. One of the orcs that held the line with bow, dropped the weapon and ran up to take its fallen comrade's place.
:ooc: Orcs attack...
Shûkrag spends 1 hate to activate Wicked Cunning and gains a Parry bonus equal to the stance of any attacker.

well, it would have been a hit on Bandy if it were an :~~: instead of a :g: , but all the orcs miss.
The fight turns brutal as the two warriors clash in the fading light, neither gaining the upper hand yet.

Hope is possible.
Arbogast's heart lifts somewhat as the two sides clash ineffectually, but for Rorin's blow laying sending an orc toppling, its helm shattered and bloody. As the orc facing him attempts to push forward, he ducks outward, away from its shield arm, and lets the Warden's Axe do its work.

:ooc: Ah fuck buckets.
Rorin was a son of Durin and while he was not physcially tired from their toils he was weary of chasing these orcs across untold miles of Wilderland. One was already dead at his feet, and the long and ancient hatred between the two races burned still bright in his heart. Seeing another Orc step forward was like witnessing the bellows of a furnance blast fresh air on the forge, it brought the fires of his hate higher and hotter.

Point of Hope to slay the creature since Warhammer is favored and his total damage would be 16.
Bandy skirted to the left of the group engaged in melee wiht the Orcs, he thought the best tacti at the moment would be to isolate the leader by killing his comrades instead of trying to engage him directly. He hoped the great son of Beorn, who bore the brunt of all foes they faced, would be able to withstand his wrath until then.
Bandy found a boulder to scurry up and being now both up slope and upon a height had an advantage over his foes.

OOC: Sorry guys I am typing on my phone or Ipad usually so please excuse my typos. And that is a threat for the bow shot.
Rorin's hammer smashed down again with a cruel finality that it had done just moments ago. The orc did not even have a chance to utter a sound of its demise, as it had not known it was coming. Only the meaty thud of the hammer and then the body crumbled.
Behind them all, Bandy, from a new position fired an arrow into the archers beyond the orc warriors and was pleased to see the shape stagger from a hit.
