MASS COMBAT |
:~~: | One of the Viglundings is slain. If rolled again in the following round, Argil is gravely wounded. |
1, 2 | The allies are hard-pressed to hold the enemy back. One of the Viglundings is wounded – or, if any are already wounded, then one of them is slain. |
3 | The Viglundings hold their line and keep fighting. |
4, 5 | The allies fight bravely, pushing the enemy back. Warg and Wolf blood spills across the hilltop. If this result is rolled twice in a row, then the allies slay one of the wolves! |
6, 7 | One of the wolves is slain. |
8, 9 | Two of the wolves are slain. |
10 | A warg is slain. |
:g: | Saradag is gravely wounded. |
Bandy's arrow drove into the chest of the furthest wolf and sank near to the feathers. The animal tumbled and rolled to a stop, never to move again. The remaining four wolves were then on them.
Nimronyn held in her characteristic two-handed approach, Esgalwen brought it down on the animal lunging towards her.

Bandy watched the wolf fall as it rushed towards Rorin and then pivoted to lend the aid of his biw to Esgalwen. He saw her blow fall upon on of the wolves and hoped to drive him from the fight with an arrow.

Ooc: my action wouldnt affect Rorin so I just went so Im not holding up the turn. Man typing on my phone sucks. I'll fix it later so the rolls dont get flagged.
The wolf yelped and then fell dead, feathered deep by the Hobbit.
:ooc: that's two kills for Bandy! He is becoming notorious!
I will wait for Steve to perform Rorin's action. I hope there are enough wolves left in the pack for Grimbeorn and Arbogast - they will have run all that way for nothing! (-D
:ooc: I hedged my bet and shot at the wounded one so it wouldnt get a combat roll. It took a while but i figured out the advantage of being in the rearward stance.
:ooc: Your ruthless manipulation of the game engine warms my black heart.
:ooc: not sure where Steve is, but I will post for him shortly and get the combat moving on.
"I will take your coats for my own!" growled the Dwarf as the two wolves set into him.

Esgalwen cried out when the wolf's strong jaws clamped onto her leg and teeth sank deep. Tissue and muscle were torn as the animal violently shook its head, yanking and pulling the woman off her balance.
Next to her, Rorin was hard pressed and fretted for his friend. Fortunately for the Dwarf, the wolf found the hard steel of his armoured plate.
