Situation: Grimbeorn has been surrounded by five mountain wolves

Grimbeorn brushes aside the attacks of the weaker two, one with his shield and the other dodged by well-honed skill and intuition.  Recovering he continues to play this game to get the opening he's looking for.

The wolves lunged in and then out, feinting from one direction while their companions tried to make an earnest attack. Still they were sizing up this prey, making him work hard in his own attack and defense as to wear him down more quickly.

The each took their turn biting at Grimbeorn's axe-arm and legs.
