:ooc: Well Esgalwen's Noble Lineage gives her advantage on the Feat die (roll two and keep the better), but I am not sure the return on the roll is worth enough at the moment. Three of four :<3: points are not going to help when we each have about 32+ :<3: points facing us. It was better to cut another down and maybe the next, and then I will call on the inspiration with the respite.
Esgalwen [♦♦♦♦♦○]     :<3: 10/12       :+~: 8       :<>: 16/18
Nimronyn [Sindarin Pale gleam] superior keen, superior grievous longsword - orc bane
Foe-slaying - when attacking a bane creature, reduce Edge of weapon by value of bearer's Valour

Shadow bane [when in Forward stance, add 1 success die to each attack]
Skirmisher [if carried encumbrance is 12 or less, increase Parry by +3 when in close combat stance]

:ooc: Sorry Matt, all Grimbeorn's advantage dice have been used up over the last two rounds.  Fortunately, ignoring the last d6 doesn't change the result - the Red-eyed orc loses all its Hate points and Grimbeorn gains another AP ( :csu: ).

The Warden's Axe: :dmg: 5/7, Edge 9, Injury 18/20

The red-eyed orc before Grimbeorn quails momentarily at his words, but the next nearest creature merely spits a ghastly reddish-black substance on the ground.  "Fall upon, worm!  The days of Men are ending!"

Though orcs and Men alike fall, those that remain fight on with a determination bordering on madness.  Jaws are locked tight in fear, else open wide in screams wherein rage and terror cannot be unmingled.  Esgalwen and Grimbeorn both feel the bite of orc-spears, but neither is slowed.  Hathycn, swift on his feet as ever, darts away from a forward-thrust spear and whirls for a counter-attack.

As he does so, a black-fletched shaft streaks down to lodge in the soft, wet earth.  The orc before him turns its gaze for a brief instant up and over its shoulder.  The Longspear's eyes follow to see Lindwine perched by a hole in the roof of the hall, her face drawn and haggard but her shaking fingers already reaching down to take up another arrow that unseen hands pass upward.  Beyond her, the roaring of trolls is tempered with that of Men as unseen battle is joined.

Meeting Hathcyn's gaze for the briefest moment, the Ice-dancer raises her voice and, like some revenant from a fearful fireside tale, shrieks "BLOOD AND VENGEANCE!"

:ooc: The Bloody-shielded orc takes an arrow hit, which it reduces to a single point of lost Endurance with a Hate spend, and Lindwine joins the fight.
