Title: SITUATION CRITICAL
Post by: tomcat on Sep 09, 2005, 10:43 AM
Behind his sealed bulkheads, Tam and his team worked diligently to complete their inoculation. The security officer that had been knocked out was disarmed and secured to a bio-bed. He would serve as an excellent recipient of the first dose of the anti-Hydraen pheromone.

With his sickbay secured, the doctor was confidant that they would have enough of the new drug within a couple of hours.

Grahm looked at Ramos and pondered his suggestion for a moment... he was right, the release of the contaminant could endanger the ship. He looked at Juan and spoke, "All right, get down to engineering and good luck! I am going to call a security detachment here to secure the area so that no one comes in or goes out of the sickbay area."

On the bridge, Isaboul's head sagged into unconsciousness as the aerosol filled her lungs. The rest of her entourage also lay slumped over the station consoles or on the floor. The Federation vessel continued on its way through the treacherous Paulson Nebula with no one able to monitor her course or speed. Her bridge was unmanned, auxiliary controls locked out, and her engine reactor in the hands of a unstable crewman.

After some time, Darkan queries the computer on the status of the intruders on the bridge.  Finding that his ploy worked, he turns to Stonn, "Get to the transporter room, beam them to the brig, and quarantine the area until further notice; I really don't trust them now after what Tam said eariler.  Notify me when its done."

"Yes, Captain," replied Stonn. The Vulcan seemed as if he were in a fog - almost as if he didn't care less what was happening.
Regardless, the science officer sauntered down the hall and towards the transporter room.

OOC: Any tests necessary to beam the unconscious Hydraens to the brig?

Hey Shawn,

Intraship beaming is a TN 20 Sys Ops (Transporter) test. Townshend is the one that is in charge of Operations (which transporters fall under) if you want her to do the task.

Let me know.

OOC: Sounds good. I would simply have Stonn ask Townshend to accompany him, then.
Title: Imprisonment

Townshend walked alongside the silent, but awkward-seeming Vulcan towards the transporter room. Unknown to Stonn, the Communications officer had a gleem in her eye from the prospect of what she was about to do. It filled her heart with joy to know that those... women! would be secured behind force fields within the brig.

They walked into the transporter room and Townshend went immediately to the control station and began the initial process of the beam. She waited for the ship's sensors to lock onto the six bodies that lay unconscious on the bridge floor. It took only a moment but then she saw the data come up on her console, the computer had a lock.

Townshend looked to Stonn, who gave her a nod and she activated the transporter controls.

Sys Ops (Transporter) TN 20
Sys Ops (tranpsoters) +11, Affinity bonus from Stonn +1
Roll(2d6)+12: 2,4,+12 Total:18 (1 Courage) = 21 SUCCESS

There was a warning flash on the transporter panel as the system began to lose its target location lock and for the briefest moment, Townshend hesitated. She thought about what a horrific thing the transporter could be when it came to mishaps... and how disfigured the princess could become! The thought passed as quickly as it came into her mind. She was a Starfleet officer before all things and she made the appropriate adjustments to complete her task.

In the brig, the Hydraen Princess and her crew materialized - still unconscious, but now very secure.

------

Tam watched the bio-scanner as the young security officer woke - his heart rate was normal, scans showed no abnormal or 'aroused' areas of the man's brain. The anti-hydraen-pheromone (dubbed hydraezine by one of Tam's lab techs) seemed to have worked.

"What's up, Doc?" asked the crewman.

Ramos noticed the transporter activity on his status board, and immediately squelched all other notifications in Engineering. Six people, transported directly to the brig... the Hydraens were smart, but Juan was confident that they didn't have that much knowledge of ship's systems. The captain must have found a way to re-take the bridge!

Ramos inwardly smiled - and then he saw that all the command lockouts were in place. Juan couldn't do anything significant to help Darkan or Tam until the controls were released. But he was a Starfleet engineer - finding new solutions was his specialty...

He immediately set to work on disabling all controls inside the locked warp core room - with Grahm out of the way, Juan knew he could get things done without being noticed. Once he was finished there, he would get to work on force field and air filtration controls. He'd find a way to help his shipmates regain control of Columbia - and of themselves...

The call came in from the transporter room.  "Too easy?" Darkan says to himself.  "Well, why not?"

Tapping the console, he calls out, "Computer, perge the bridge of anesthezine... Darkan to Transporter Room X, back to the bridge... and good work."

Once back on the bridge with Stonn, Townshend, and the others, Darkan restored control of the helm and weapons and, taking control of the helm himself, righted the ship on its course (OOC: test required?).
"Seal access to the bridge for the time being -- we could do without any other unexpected interuptions."
