The Longspear was one with his spear, he fought and he slew and he nothing of time or fear. Only the new cry of the Beornings escaped him. "Carrock, carrock." He knew not how loudly he said it, sometimes a whisper like a lovers caress and sometimes in a warcry. Either way this new shout of the Beornings was a cry to the heavens for revenge against these foul and loathsome creatures.
Once more into the fray.

Grimbeorn presses against those engaging him, slashing at the goblin and blocking the uruk... mosquitoes need to be squashed.

Ever-fickle fortune has cast its lot for neither side, and the Fire-watcher knows that the battle hangs in the balance. He fights on, looking to place his own thumb upon the scale.

In a series of quick but fluid movements that make it appear to all that the elf-warrior is engaging in more of a bloody dance than a fight, Laeral disengages her spear from her 2 now bloodless foes, spins out of the path of the arrows aimed at her person, and swings her spear in a wide arch across her person to slash at the throat of her new opponent (13).

-ooc- Laeral remains in defensive stance
:ooc: So, to sum up:
- Hathcyn hits goblin #2 with a 22 :%: for a total of 14 :<3: lost - a neat kill.
- Arbogast hits the uruk soldier for an uninspiring 5 :<3: loss, and goblin #12 gets cloven for the same amount of damage.
- Grimbeorn barely hits goblin #11 with a 16 :%: for 14 :<3: - another handy kill.
- Laeral gets a nice hit in on goblin #13 with an 18 :%: for 15 :<3:.
The OP is updated accordingly.
The atmosphere in the room was changing. The goblins had watched their leader perish in a most fearful way, and now their comrades were dwindling. They looked to each other in fear - fear of the invaders in their warren and fear of the Uruks who now commanded them.
The thought of flight began to enter the minds of those that survived. It would not be hard. There were many tunnels and they could simply disappear deeper into their subterranean world. It would take just one to break and the rest would follow.
A bellowed command came from Kurgak to push his minions on - to kill or be killed - and the orcs answered.

• Black Uruk attacks Arbogast with a 27 :~~: :%: success for 10 :<3: and he must make a TN 10 :<>: test (this is the second :~~: success against Arbogast! Though it does meet the criteria of a Called Shot, if I had called it, it does not fulfill the auto-Called Shot which would have required you failing at your last attack. I am not going to put that on the party, too, right now)
• Kurgak attacks Grimbeorn and misses.

Her spear embedded deep in the goblin, the repugnant creature pushed itself further up the shaft to try to make its own killing blow. Laeral understood its vile purpose and tried to push away with her weapon, dodging as she did, but still the goblin's sword struck even as it died.
Laeral felt the flat of the bent blade strike the side of her head and then there was darkness.
Arbogast, struggling as he was with both of his attackers, saw as the Elf crumpled to the ground and fear began to rise in his mind. Was his charge into the goblin-nest folly and had he led his friends to their deaths?
:ooc: Since Goblin 20 only has 1 :<3: point left, I am making it sacrifice itself for its tremendous success.
