:ooc: Just as a heads-up, I'll be calling for Battle rolls from both of the leaders at the end of this round - we'll find out how well your followers have been backing you up.

Hathcyn's cry is exultant as another goblin perishes on the point of his spear, but it is quickly drowned out by a fearful shriek that he barely recognises as Harhold's voice.  "HELP ME, PLEASE!"

Turning, Hathcyn beholds a dreadful scene.  Though he himself has acquitted himself well, it has been a disaster for those who followed him.  Two lie on the ground, their faces bloody and their eyes open and unseeing.  The goblins, having regrouped after the ineffectual charge, are already putting their cruel knives to work, butchering horses and Men alike.  Others have pinned Harhold down, torn his shirt open and are beginning to cut at his chest and face.

Within, Grimbeorn is powerless to prevent the orc who seized the farmwife from raising her unresisting body and biting her neck, worrying at her throat like a terrier with a rat.  As gore sprays high enough to bloody the rafters, the orcs give a horrific bellow of victory.  Beornings fall, their terrified cries diminishing to woeful gurgles, as the creatures enter a bloodthirsty frenzy.  Two men break and run for the door, casting aside their spears and shields in desperation.

Deprived of other victims, the orcs begin to crowd around Grimbeorn.
