Title: Prison attack - round 15

Situation: The party is split up - three on the second floor of the prison (Logar, Kaida, and Sam) and two on the third floor (Brim and Kara), and Caden flies the Aegis above the prison; the troopers attack again.

Team Alpha 2 - 2 Regular troopers (S22 and S25), 2 heavy troopers (H9-10), 1 Officer (O5), and ISBO Falken Wright (ready to attack into prison area)

Team Alpha 3 - 4 Regular troopers (S11-14), 1 heavy troopers (H5), 1 Officer (O3) (incapacitated - all unconscious in prison level 2)
Team Alpha 1 - destroyed
Team Alpha 4 - destroyed
Team Alpha 5 - destroyed



Situational Modifiers: Logar is at CT -1; Sam is CT -1; Kara is CT -1

"LOOK OUT!" shouted Brim as the roof hatch cut free and fell the height of the ceiling down to the floor below, narrowly missing Kara as she stepped off the ladder onto the third floor of the prison.

The night air was clean and the Rodian breathed in deeply. He hit his comm unit and called to the others, "C'mon! We have access to the roof and Danjapa is freed! Come on now!" That said, Brim slid back down the ladder to the floor and gestured to Danjapa, "You need to get outside, otherwise this is all in vain!"

Kaida shook her head. The blast had shaken her from her mourning, and she went back into battle mode. She quickly patted herself down ensuring that no permanent damage was done, though she still felt the pain from the hot metal fragments where they scored her body. She moved into a crouch, and pried Britton's gun from his fingers and quickly slung it over her shoulder.

"Sam! Back to the ladder! Now!" she ordered. Now that Britton was dead, she felt she had sent the droid out on a fools mission. They had lost one of their number and she wasn't about to add their mechanical friend to the list.

Swift Action: Pick up gun from Britton/floor and uses Quick Draw feat to shoulder it as a free action.
Move Action: Moves 3 squares "east".
Standard Action: Shoots a burst at the 2x2 square to catch both troopers.
Shoots, -5 mod for no brace applied 1d20+2 : 5 + 2, total 7

Damage if hits 3d8+2 : 3, 4, 7 + 2, total 16

Will use force point to hit, if needed 1d6 : 1, total 1

 :ooc: Drat! Actually, she'll use a Destiny point to get a critical! Hah! Take that! Just realized they're not close enough together to hit both with the auto fire burst. So, she'll just hit the heavy with the crit.

Sam sees a couple more of the team about to clear the ladder as the Imperials keep coming. Kaida! Let's move!" Sam yells as he dashes back to the kitchen. Servos groaned from the damage and he left the wafting odour of singed circuitry in his wake. Sam fires at the closest trooper still standing as he passes the doorway.

Sam's actions
Move: North to kitchen
Standard: Ranged attack (closest trooper)
Blaster pistol +8, PB Shot +1, Hot-wired +1, CT -1:  1d20+9 : 1 + 9, total 10

Damage, if hit
Blaster 3d6+3, PB Shot +1:  3d6+4 : 4, 3, 1 + 4, total 12

Swift: Second Wind (+18hp)  :csu:

- if it makes a difference, Sam will use his Independent Spirit talent this turn - +1 to any defense as a reaction
- also, due to his hot-wired processor talent, Sam will go an additional -1 on the CT at end of this round

Kara moved quickly towards the ship, the odds were not in their favor and she could barely keep herself upright.  But she knew that she would do better piloting the ship and having the Captain go down and help take care of their evacuation from the facility.  It had not hit her yet that Britton was dead, she had not spoken much to Britton and her distance was somewhat reliving, but also caused her a great deal of guilt as she ran from the scene of battle.

Brim, Kara and Danjapa all move to the roof




Brim waved to Danjapa to follow him, "You first! Kara follow us up, but keep an eye on our flank. Where is everyone else?"

The answer to Brim's question was just a floor below. Logar'Dan saw his last two surviving companions run back into the kitchen. The soldier held fast in his defensive position waiting for them to get to the ladder.

No Imperials presented themselves.
