Smoke was filling the Control room from the burning computer consoles. The acrid smell was starting to burn the eyes and throats of Kaida and Kara as the gray-white cloud began to spread from the confines of the chamber.

The silence was also heard on the first floor and Falken gave orders. "You are now designated Alpha 5," he said to the five troopers that remained from two other teams that were now destroyed. "I want you on the lift. Alpha 2, you are with me - we will take the stairs to the second floor."

The stormtroopers nodded and complied with their orders.

Kara and Kaida heard as the lift began to ascend once more.

Blasterfire. Pain. A red haze, like a cloud before a mirror.  The reflection waiting for him on the other side? The old Logar'Dan. He bit his lip and tasted blood. Swallowed back some bile. He tried in those few seconds to gain control of himself. The wounds were not deadly he told himself. Their team was still intact. But more troopers were coming. He needed to break that mirror in his mind, the old Logar was gone. But he would keep a shard of that reflection, a little jagged piece of his old self. Their was killing to be done, he would need a piece at least. " We should hold here, we can bottleneck them." The last of his words trailed into a roar as he rushed towards the officer, firing on the heavy trooper he had wounded.

"We're on our way!" Kaida called over the comm. She heard the lift moving again and realized the longer they stayed, the more risk they ran of getting shot or cut off. "C'mon! Let's go!". Pulling Kara's arm, she raced towards the others.

Kara ran full speed with Kara.  "Did we just get called Double K?  Sounds like a complete part of nutritious breakfast."  Kara's legs carried her quickly as she tried to make her way with Kaida out of there quickly.

:ooc: New maps are posted below, but here are the results from your actions:

Logar advanced forward, a killer's fury building within him, all the while firing his blaster. The hail of bolts struck all around the heavy stormtrooper and the soldier went down. At the same time, Britton moved to firing position and brought down the last of the troopers in the chamber. The prison, at the moment, was clear of any enemy.

Brim knew the direction that they now needed to escape - or at least get to their goal on the third floor - and so the Rodian ran from the combat and scouted their path. He saw both Kaida and Kara running from the Control room area, following in his direction. Sam, who stood backing up his attacking companions, watched as the last two troopers went down and so moved to follow the others.

Kara was only a step behind her companion, but she worried because as she turned to run, the lift from the lower level had come to rest and five more troopers were on it.

In front of Logar, the doors to the elevator began to slide closed, as it was called from the lower level. He heard as the now damaged doors protested in their tracks and the whole lift groaned and wailed. His grenade had had more effect than to just drop the soldiers that had come to attack them - now it hindered anymore from arriving.

On the third floor, the prisoners who were present were beginning to wonder at all of the sounds. The explosions and the blaster fire could be plainly heard, but they wondered what it meant. Antar Danjapa looked across the hall from his cell to his neighbor, "The prison is either under attack or there has been a breakout on the lower levels. Think they will come for us if they are successful?"

Danjapa's neighbor was another human named Varon Nidor. He was a bounty hunter - well that was what he claimed to be - who had been in the proverbial wrong place at the wrong time. A shipment of spice had come into Stasshil station, on the mid-rim and the trade had been botched. ISB had been all over the gangsters who were trafficking the drugs just as they were moving the shipment from one cargo bay to another. Nidor had the unfortunate luck of being in the bay looking for information on a mark when the Imperials made the bust. With the times as they were and intolerance being the mood, the trial had been quick, the decision quicker, and Nidor found himself shipped out to the ends of nowhere to live out his sentence.

He stared back at Danjapa. The engineer was pleasant enough. Nidor wondered why the man had also been sent to Tantau.
