The heavy rain began to subside as the clouds above emptied of their contents and the high pitched whine of the skiff's repulsors could now be heard approaching the landing platform. Everyone tightened their grips on weapons and waited. BIT watched the shadowy shape of the vehicle pass and then it began to rotate its position, turning to allow the longer sides to face the cave and the landing. The pattern was programmed to allow easier exit and entrance onto the skiff.

Inside the cavern those with low-light and night vision could see the skiff rotate in and the six individuals that stood atop her deck waiting to disembark. The problem for the team was that the dark powers that created the bando gora also endowed them with the ability to see in the dark, and Shade's prosthetics were also equipped. For Farok, the jedi was secure from Shade's electronic sight, blanketing himself in the Force, but that did not stop the dark jedi from sensing his presence.*

Things erupted quickly...

:ooc: I'm going to be traveling all this week, but I don't want to hold us up.

From his perch, Caden will lie prone and use the edge of the building to stabilize his shots, firing at any opportune targets. He'll focus especially on any baddies that try to overtake Brim's position -- and his big honkin' blaster.
He'll stay as long as possible, but on the chance they're overrun, he'll retreat -- as Fett suggested -- into the cave passage behind him, covering everyone else as he does so.

Hopefully, that won't be necessary!  ;D

 :ooc: Doug,
If F stands for Farrok you have him up to far. He was moving back to the spot on the map where the two heavy black lines intersect. That way he will pull the enemies into the engagement area of his companions on the buildings.

Kaida activates her Born Leader talent. Once the explosives go off, she'll also shoot. Specific target to be determined after explosives boom boom.

:ooc: Okay, I fixed Farok's beginning position on the map.

Kaida now grants each player who has LOS to her a +1 bonus to attacks.

As for the explosives, there are a total of 13 explosives set and I am going to have them work in a chain reaction of three explosions per round. Because Brim was successful with his mechanics roll, they will all explode as planned. Some of the enemy may not be affected in a give round based on their positions. Of course they could still be startled.

I have an image attached of each explosions area affect, per round, and who is injured. The small x's mark which grenades went off in this round and the pink area is the area of effect. Anyone caught within will take the effects of however many grenades impact an area. The small red dots are the remaining grenades to cook off.

In this round, only Bando Gora #3 is affected and he takes...

Roll(4d6)+3: 3,1,3,2,+3 Total:12

With the shadows stepping off of the skiff, Brim decided it was time. He yanked on the synthrope and activated the grenade trap. Seconds later, the entrance to the cave turned into a horrific flash of fire and noise. All the team members quickly adjusted their low-light goggles so as not to harm their eyes from the light. Caught inside the ring of destruction, the Shade and the Bando Gora warriors did all they could to protect themselves. They rushed in the direction away from the  blasts but were surprised when blaster fire began to hail in around them.

Fett depressed the trigger on the large E-web blaster cannon and the din became worse with its rancor.

:ooc: Fett aims the cannon in autofire mode at the position where the Shade stands...

STANDARD - fires E-web
:00: DC 10, or villain REF score Ranged +10, Point blank +1, autofire -2 (controlled burst), Non-proficiency -5
Rolled 1d20+4 : 4 + 4, total 8

damage if successful, 1/2 if missed 3d12+6 : 10, 10, 9 + 6, total 35

:ooc: So, Fett hits with a 12 against a DC 10 and so all enemies within the four square hit zone take 17 damage (unless they have some defense... tbd)

Shade can deflect the E-web attack (REACTION)
:00: DC 12 UtF +13
Rolled 1d20+13 : 7 + 13, total 20

Bando Gora soldier 2 has no defenses and takes 17/59

In his hands, the Shade quickly ignited his lightsabers. The blaster bolts from the E-web seared around him but the dark jedi used his blades to try and bat them away.

The light flared up in Kaida's optics and she instinctively dampened the feed. Grunting from the wash of heat, she focused in on the foray and began shooting.

Kaida shoots at the pilot also.
Blaster Shot: 1d20+7 : 12 + 7, total 19

Damage: 3d8+3 : 2, 2, 8 + 3, total 15

With his companions firing into the landing site Farok began to make his way towards the Dark Jedi and his destiny.

:ooc: Okay...

BIT - I need to reduce your attack by 2 due to the darkness cover, so you score a 22. Bando Gora 2 REF is 23, but I am calling them flat-footed for the surprise round, so it is 19. You succeed and hit for 30 damage (30/32).

Kaida - Like above, you hit with a 19 due to Bando Gora 2 flat-footed, for 15 damage (45/32 DEAD).

Brim (after he trips the trap) and Farok move

Caden opens up with autofire from his blaster carbine. Targets the centerpoint of the four-square containing BG5.
:00: DC 10 or NPC REF Ranged blaster carbine +2 (3d8+4) with autofire and Point Blank Shot, darkness cover -2
Rolled 1d20+0 : 3, total 3

damage if successful, half damage if not 3d8+4 : 8, 1, 5 + 4, total 18

:ooc: Yea... Caden misses with that shot... bad.

Farok moved a Full-round action Run (24 squares)

Brim moved 8 squares.

Round is over - going to set up round 2.
