Hathcyn is struck with an arrow shot :~~: :%: success for 6 endurance loss and a piercing attack
The unexpected onslaught has put paid to any thought Arbogast may have had of out-thinking the soldiers of the Enemy. His head is still ringing from the blow just taken, and his vision still blurry. Now there is only survival or death. The Fire-watcher fights with feverish strength, withholding nothing.

:ooc: That at least makes it an unexceptional hit.
Hathcyn flailed about in the mud and the blood and the mire. He avoided the incoming blade, he maneuvered to avoid the first arrow. The second shaft directed at him found it's mark. It buried itself into the fighter. He felt his arms go weak the movement and battle around him slowed and he thought of the trees of Mirkwood in the sun, and the bath he once took in the Anduin to wash away the winter work, then nothing.

OOC: wow, the dice do tell a story.
Even as the orc's head toppled in the air, Esgalwen was set upon by two more of the fell creatures - their bent=swords thrusting towards her mid-section.
Arrows whistled past her, one intended for her but the shot was wide. Still, the others were successful and she heard Hathcyn give a guttural cry. The black-fletched arrow sticking from his torso, he staggered.
The rage inside began to grow. Esgalwen lifted Nimronyn high and swept it down on one of her attackers. "They seek to overwhelm us! Hold the ground! The dawn is coming!"

Black blood splattered the muddy riverbank. Nimronyn swept cleanly through the orc's shoulder and removed its arm. Screaming in agony, the creature fell into the water and writhed until it was gone.
:ooc:
I was going to go a Protect Companion action.. would this have helped Hathcyn?
:ooc: Not unless you did it last round, I think.
:ooc: Yea, as Paul said. Due to the initiative order, you will need to outline your next round stance and maneuver actions at the end of each current round. I will apply your choices in the following setup.
:ooc:
Alright, I guess next time.
Grimbeorn will attempt to smash again.
