Description: There are two Wights within the barrow, they are Defence 11 and one has a -2 penalty to ACTIONS due to Intimidation

Physical Modifiers: No physical modifiers due to torches

Situational Modifiers: Seriand is -2 to Strength and Vitality due to Wight's attack in the last melee; wight is wounded -9

Initiative*:
Durgil - 12
Seriand - 10
Wights - 10
Fengel - 9
Nain - 8
Dirnhael - 8

*Remember to roll your next round's initiative at the end of your posts

I need actions based on your order in the melee.

Matt - even though you had a high Initiative roll from last round, your wounds suffered will hinder your actions... keep that in mind when you RP this round out.

The greater Wight looked upon the Dunadan that had him pinned to the wall and a rage filled its glowing eyes.

Its mouth opened and it spoke in a distant voice, "Foolish mortal! You shall spend your eternal days with us here in the cold hard earth, begging freedom from your rotting bones!"

Not far away, the wight's comrade began to stagger under the saveage attacks from Nain.

Knowing he's got no chance to help Dirnhael, Durgil grabs his blade and moves as fast as he can to see what he can do about his friend and little girl.  "Edrahil... can you hear me?!"

Init - (1+1)+2-5=-1... suffice it to say, I'm going last (again).

Wiseman

Hoping to use the momentum of the lesser creature's death and the powerful charging attack of Dirnhael Seriand sprinted forward, his heart had overcome the fear and now it was just about survival of all the living races and beings within this foul place.

OOC: Assuming I can make two attacks while having to move to the GW, otherwise just Attack 1.

After finally putting the wight to rest Fengel's heart is bolstered.  He turns quickly to aid Nain.  Closing on the second wight, the fury of the warrior is unleashed in three swift attacks.

Willpower roll (2d6+1+2) 5,3+3=11+6=17 (Use 2 courage pt)

Foul sorcery clenched his heart like a freezing vice as the wight cast his spell but Nain had vowed to himself not to die here and the curse of this creature did not have the power to break that vow.  He felt the claws of the evil magic melt away as he swung his axe once again at the evil before him.

Attack (2d6+9) 6,4+9=19
Damage (2d6+10) 2,2 +10=14

Attack (2d6+9) 3,6+9=18
Damage (2d6+10) 4,6 +10=20

Initiative for Rd 2 (2d6+2) 6,5+2=13

OOC: Good point GoB, but actually the +6 bonus I am allowing against intimidation will not apply here. The spell cast uses fear to freeze a person, but it is not an intimidation effect - it is the spell itself. So, it will be straight Willpower.

Will Power Roll(2d6)+2: 1,4,+2, Total:7,+12(4 courage) = 19

Fengel could feel the dark evil fingers of the Greater Wight probing his mind.  He could feel the fear begin to rise within his heart.  But he too swore not to be overcome as he had by Cadoc.  He thought about his friends, and his fear began to turn to anger against those who desired to destroy his brothers.  Bringing down upon the weaker wight two hard strikes of his sword, he then turns to the other, "I know your desire for the living, foul creature! But you will have no satisfaction here today!  Come let us finish this!"

The 3rd attack will be against the Greater Wight, unless Fengel is to far away.  If I can't use the 3rd then Fengel will attempt a Charge against the GW in the next round.  Sure hate to lose that roll though.

Willpower Roll (TN 17)
Roll(2d6)+2: 4,4,+2 Total:10

OOC: I'll spend three CP to bring that to a 19 and success...

The holding-spell reached into to Dirnhael's mind, and vague recollections of his similar encounter in the North came rushing back to him with vivid immediacy.
But he was wiser now; stronger, and he mustered the courage resisted the controlling sorcery of this creature.
The sooner it was destroyed, the better...
A moment passed, and Dirnhael felt strength and purpose in his sinews once more; hewing ferociously at the wight with his blade.

OOC: Stefan, I modified your post... the +6 does not apply here as it was a bonus to resist Intimidation, not the affects of magic. I did give you the Dwarven racial bonus of Hardness of Mind +2, in either case, you still passed the test, only needed to use 1 more courage.

More to follow here soon...

OOC: Excellent, thank you.

OOC: Results of Fengel's, Nain's and Dirnhael's actions... I am translating these as I read your posts and I understnad that PbP makes it difficult to make actions as needed, so I am gonna be somewhat generous with how I am translating here. First Fengel...

In this round Fengel moves to aid Nain against the wight he is facing. He will attack it until it is dead and then go to the Greater Wight if possible:

ACTION 1 - Move to new wight and attack
ACTION 2 - Attacks with a 18 vs TN 11 for Roll(2d6)+8: 3,4,+8 Total:15 / 2 = 8 damage
ACTION 3 - Attacks with a 21 vs TN 11 for Roll(2d6)+8: 2,4,+8 Total:14 / 2 = 7 damage (Wight is slain)
ACTION 4 - Runs across chamber to help Seriand and Dirnhael TN 5 - Roll(2d6)-3: 2,2,-3 Total:1 FAILED (roll needed due to over action allowance)

So, although he moves towards his last attack, he can't make it... sorry about your 30 roll! :(

Next Nain would see Fengel slay his opponent and thus turn his own attention to Dirnhael and Seriand and the Greater Wight (I am assuming)...

ACTION 1 - Move to new attack (no roll needed)
ACTION 2 - Attacks with a 19 for 14 - 5 armour / 2 = 5 damage
ACTION 3 - attacks with an 13 for 20 - 5 armour / 2 = 8 damage

Lastly, Dirnhael... he is in position before the wight and his attacks are as stated:

Wight takes the attacks from Dirnhael - all are Extraordinary so do full damage of 18 -5 / 2 = 7 * 4 = 28 total damage

Wight's next round Initiative: Roll(2d6)+4: 6,1,+4 Total:11
