Arbogast holds himself easily, his back to his companions.  He feels Esgalwen and Morirúsë readying themselves to spring forward, as if to meet the wargs in mid-air, and Grimbeorn's waxing fury as he slides Bear Claw loose.  Come blood, he thinks.  Come wrath and ruin.  We of the Free Peoples are ready for you!

:ooc: He's starting off in Open stance, as usual.

The large wargs were close to the ground, as if ready to spring. They maneuvered around trying to flank and drag down their opponents. With an unheard command, the four wargs attacked.

The monstrous wolves snarled and snapped, lunging as they did, at the companions.

Arbogast moved his shield and axe to the fore knocking away his antagonist's unbalanced bite. Esgalwen, too, needed only to shift her position so as not to be tore by the snapping teeth.

It was Morirúsë that was overwhelmed by the two wargs that set upon him. The Noldo reeled backwards when the white-furred monster lunged upward at his neck. The huge maw was there and about to close on his flesh when Grimbeorn's shield edge appeared, smashing into its mouth. The warg yelped and fell to the ground, scrambling to recover itself. The Beorning's axe smashed into the ground next to it, but the animal was back on its feet.

Off balance, Morirúsë moved to regain his feet when he felt a tremendous weight latch on to his chest. There was a great pulling and the sound of ripping cloth, all the while the flesh around his neck burnt with hot fire from the rope that was torn from around him. The warg shook its head left and right, flinging the Elven lamp as it did, which smashed to pieces on the stony cliff face.

The Noldo was alive, but their light was now destroyed.

Not waiting for her target to right itself from its awkward attack, Esgalwen swung her sword arcing it down into an upward sweep.

As soon as Arbogast feels the warg's weight shift away from him, he follows through with axe-blade and war-cries.  Behind him, he marks the smashing of glass as the fight descends into a chaos of fury and fang, but there is no time yet to see what has happened.
