The Maiden Fair

Tom, I love this post...but she is not going to Mountain Hall. 

The company is escorting her entourage to Woodland Hall, before they themselves cut west to go into the mountains.

I would like you to keep it as is, but unfortunately it will make it seem like Bandy was hitting the keg a little too hard.

Grimbeorn continued the trek hanging near Ceawin and his retinue in the guise of his father's representative, while keeping a eye about and ear to the ground so to speak for trouble.  His real issue were these hangers-on and courtesans.  Like any other of his people, he was plain spoken and to the point while these were mealiemouthed when they didn't talk through both sides of them.  He did what he could to pay attention to them but their attitude towards him grated as they tended to continue with their jests at his expense or backhanded remarks based upon what they've heard of his father and his people.  "No wonder father was so irritated at the sight of outlanders," he thought.  The one only that brightened his day were the meals with his companions and, privately, the glimpses of the Lady Verwyne.

After Bandy staggers away, Arbogast, having drunk and danced in moderation during the night, escorts Verwyne the short distance from the hall to her tent.  He finds it strange that none of her kin are about to do the job.  It is an easy one, though, and one that he does not mind

"Good night, and may your dreams be untroubled.  We shall see you once more in the light of morning."

Rorin was entertained by the antics of his various companions. Both Arbogast, and surprisingly Grimbeon seemed smitten with their new charge while Bandy seemed to have forgotten his size and was joyously singing and proclaiming the beauty of...well...just about everything. It would seem the forest, the mountains, the fields, Rhosgobel, the Lady Verwyne, and the river Anduin all possessed a beauty that the poor hobbit MUST share with all who would hear.

While the Lady Verwyne was indeed stunning, Rorin found that she lacked the beauty of a thick-bearded Dwarven maiden and did not feel the need to seek her out. And so the Dwarf resolved to uphold the honor of all Dwarves while in this company of men...and hopefully make some coin while doing so. Rorin spent the rest of the night accepting any and all challenges in feats of strength or fortitude. By the end of the night, many a Woodsman had either a sore arm or found themselves passed out at the table across from the Dwarf.

When there was a lull in journey, Grimbeorn finally brooched what had been on his mind since Rhosgobel.  "Lord Ceawin, could you please tell us about this terror haunting your land?  We are curious as to its nature and why you believe it will be appeased by the item you've commissioned."
