"Targets are well-armed. Proceed with caution."  The B-2 battledroid spoke to his patrol as the group rounded the southern side of one of the rocky crags. They had just watched Hammer mow down all but one of their fellows and like any machine, they learned. The blaster fire on the mount was coming to a stop and whomever was attacking - statistical data assumed a 98.257% certainty of Republic Forces - had for the moment attained higher ground. The B-2 patrol commander was not going to let his unit be destroyed so easily. There was a sniper in the rocks above them, they had seen the fire. He would find that one and let his commander deal with the attackers on the mount.

Inside the Relay Station, Har'zic ended the emergency burst transmission. The CIS would soon send reinforcements - both land and air - but for now he had to hold his command. The Dashade still had a strong contingent of battledroids, and not just the standard fodder that the Confederacy was littering the galaxy with. No, he had specially programmed units that could act independently and were quite capable in combat. With the report done, he turned to the command unit BC16, "I want one of your squads on the roof, one left in the command center here and you and your remaining two squads come with me. If these clones think they are going to take this station, then they will pay for it in blood." BC16 nodded and began to issue orders in the droid binary language.

Har'zic had watched through his command monitors as his droidekas began to go offline, but he had used them to size up the attackers. Apparently it was a Republic Commando team - quite capable, but not unstoppable. He'd crack those white shells easy enough, ripping them limb from limb. The Dashade commander led his two squads of commando droids down into the lower level of the station where its massive power generator plant awaited.

Outside the door, the remaining droideka turned on its tripod. The thing was misshapen after being hammered into the reinforced metal access door, but it was not out of commission. In fact, though its internal diagnostics screamed of system reductions and failures, its combat programming superseded all and brought up its two laser cannons and fired.

:ooc: We had a server change over the last few days. There may be a few kinks that need worked out, but we'll get to them. As of now, we are addressing an attachment issue, so I cannot add the updated map. I will get it up soon, but for now we will use our mind's eye.  ;)

:ooc: Bam! Booth's evasion isn't working this time!  ;)

Okay, the first attack has no effect on Booth due to Evasion, Haywire however takes: 13 / 2 = 6 -2 (DR) = 4 -or- 22/81

The second attack does to each clone:

Booth 16 /2=8 -2 (DR) = 6 -or- 6/89

Haywire 16 -2(DR) = 14 -or- 36/81

:ooc:Does Hammer know about the second patrol? and if so perhaps roughly where they are?  I don't believe he could see them from where he's at but it'll make a difference as to what his next actions are.

Zilfallion

:ooc: Hmm, I don't suppose that move action from the last round closer to the door would at least split up the attacks?  Unless Booth also moved closer, but I didn't see that.

:ooc: Stefan, Hammer knows they are there as the patrol was reported to the team earlier when Longshot was overwatching the ingress. But no, you can't see them without moving.

Zil, when looking at my map, that ledge is only six-squares wide. The droideka takes up a 2x2 fighting space, so unless Haywire was on the opposite side of it from Booth than the attack would land differently. I saw your post in round 5  that states the move - do you want to be considered next to the droideka? If so, let me know and I will re-tool the attack.

:ooc: According to the map of the ledge, just the ledges provided back in Round 4, This ledge should be something like 10 squares wide, that's what I was going with.  I wasn't really paying as much attention to the larger one.  If it's smaller, the attack is fine, I was under the impression from the 1:1 scale ledge map it was larger than the 1:2 battle map showed.

:ooc: The challenge with my vertical exaggeration map is that where it is 10 wide on tier 2 is where the power generator sits. Beyond it, where you guys are standing it is six squares (3 squares on the overhead map), so it is pretty tight there. Still, I am not going to take away from you if you know that Haywire would have found a place to get close, but just know that with Martel slamming that droid into the door it just took up the 2x2 square in front of the door.

Let me know what you have in your mental vision - I am easy.  ;)

:ooc: The clarification is plenty.  All I needed to know.  I'm fine with the hits.

Stefan

Hammer pulled the trigger again to take out the last B-1 in the closer patrol.  Then he moves to the south side of the hill (Hill I) that impaired his view of the second patrol closing on their sniper.

Stefan

:ooc:I think I'd like to have Hammer just move directly to the southe east so that he can get visual on the patrol as quickly as possible.  He's not going to worry about cover at this point.

deadpool

"Longshot, talk to me. What do you see?" said the medic calmly over his comlink as he watched the last member of the patrol get blown to pieces and looking round him.

After Longshot answers "Ok. We've got you covered. We'll double back and regroup." He then turned to Hammer and said "Come on, let's move out."

:ooc:I'll use a run full-round action to get as close to H as I can getting cover at "Hill I" if possible. It's gonna take like two or three turns anyway. I don't know if it's worth it, what do you think guys?

Stefan

#13
If you run in a straight line as a full round action you could move as far as 4 times your normal move.  That would get you pretty close in short order if that's what you're going for, that would be 12 squares which looks like about half way back to H.  I think there's value in making sure that our retreat is safe before we progress inside.  It'll probably take them a couple of rounds to get the door open anyway.

GandalfOfBorg

:ooc: Martel's plan is to ram the door open with the droideka again if it isn't destroyed, otherwise cut open the door.
