A small red light and a high-pitched beep began to chime on the Aegis' flight deck. Kara looked down and the blood rushed from her face. She quickly determined that the ship's shields were fully active... after that, all they could do was pray.

Caden felt his heart sink as he heard the swoosh of the missile streak overhead, and then all three of them hit the deck of the skiff. The Aegis was struck on her port side and the ship heeled to its right even as its shields and structure absorbed the damage. Still, the Bestinian could see the black scorch mark that now adorned the port side of the vessel just behind the canopy.

Inside the Loronar, Kara and Ardana both let out a cry of fear as the ship was knocked to one side in the air. The thunderous explosion and brilliant light left both of them with racing hearts. Sam had merely braced for impact, but the droid was now reading ship statuses to determine survivability of another hit.

:ooc: The Aegis is hit for 58 damage and it is applied as follows:

Aegis Shield rating: 45 - damage reduced by 45 to 13, but shield effectiveness reduced by 5 points to 40/45

Aegis damage reduction - the remaining 13 points of damage are absobed by the ships damage reduction

So far, so good for the Loronar!

:ooc:  ;D I really love this game.

Just need BIT's attack and then I can perform Shade's actions.

:ooc: What we're all thinking: "She'll hold together...Hold together baby..." ;-)

"You alright?" She asked Caden as she picked herself up from the floor of the skiff and helped him up. She was grateful that the helmet had compensated for the sudden flare and sound from the concussive missile. The shockwave that had hit her was another matter and she had been afraid for a moment that the skiff would capsize.  "We've got to get out of here."

She pulled her rifle up and scanned the landing platform again to see if Farok was still alive and waited for BIT to get on board.

:ooc: BIT misses.

As I said, Matt, if BIT wants to do something else, let me know. But for now, I am going to roll for Shade...

well, after about 10 minutes of thinking I have decided the big bad evil guy is not suicidal, and so flight is the best option.

Seeing that the battle was over, Shade decided that flight was the only choice. Better to break away now and heal and then return to the fight another time. Using the distractions of the moment and amplifying his natural speed with the Force, Shade bolted towards the safety of the three-story structure behind him. Once inside he would find a place to hide and then escape... for now.

:ooc: Shade's UtF results grants him a speed of 8, so moving 16 squares he gets within the safety (has full cover from blaster fire) of the structure.

Quote from: Telcontar on Sep 29, 2012, 11:54 AM:ooc: even with a roll of 1?

:ooc: Shit... I didn't notice that, Tom. I just looked at the result... looks like the Force is abandoning this guy. His Surge bonus to MOVE is lost, but he still moves twice. Shade is not yet protected by the building.

Okay, the map is updated below and it applies to round 10.
